  • Nice bluff pass/cut one of those I barely noticed

  • i uploaded my handling on the trick, mine telling me what you think mate?

  • can you please message me, on how you got the selected card to the top, well second to the top? i still cant figure it outt, if it's the classic pass or whatt

  • Hey geriammad, I have tried for the past 2 years to figure out this trick completely, yet I still cant get the phase where you loose the four into the pack right. I wonder if I could do anything to learn this trick properly, it is one of the 3 most viewed cardtricks for me on youtube ;p Anyways I'll understand if you'll keep the secret for yahself, but you have atleast 1 interested buyer here.

    Dearest Regards

    // Maitinin

  • whats that move where u shoot out a card at 0:15?

  • @ken94922073 it's a move that I originally thought was mine, but I have since learned that Ricky Smith has already done this. I don't know where this can be learned, or if it is printed anywhere, sorry.

  • Nice trick, I figured it out but its pretty cool though

  • i figured it out but very nice affect. 5/5

  • @TheJaybobStrett44 I don't understand the need for people to tell me this haha. Thanks for watching/commenting though.

  • @geriammad yea lol u got a point anyway u got the message nice performance

  • I really love all of your stuff, it's all excellent. Can you make a tutorial on the Larry production? I can't find any information on it anywhere else.

  • @Prometheus666333 Never mind I am reading comments below and I see that you aren't interested in revealing it yet. I guess I'll have to wait till you're famous and then buy you're dvd...*sigh*.

  • haha I don't think I'll ever be able to release this. Even though it was independently conceived, I've been told that it belongs to Ricky Smith.

  • Maybe you could do another routine in which I get a very clear view of the move from all angles. I'll take care of the rest :).

  • @Prometheus666333 Really, you don't get it?

  • I love this. It's simple, direct, and amazing. Good work. Your videos rock man.

  • I just barely caught that. Excellent work on the trick.

  • what is that production called it looks awesome

  • I bought my S+M decks when they first came out from either Dan and Dave's site or T11, I can't remember anymore.

I have one deck of each unopened still, but I want to save those for purely sentimental reasons...sorry, I know it's a cheesy reason, but whatever haha.

ebay always has stuff like that, so you should check there often if you really want the first editions like the ones in the video.

  • those 1st edition mirrors totally beat the new ones.. i LOVE the black on the back with the white borders, that's why i purchased my black tally-hos and bicycle guardians aswell.

  • no flashing at all in my oppinion!! u do it very naturely

  • Honestly there's a lot of flash but I don't think this would be powerful to a spectator. For a trick like this you want to keep things as slow and deliberate as possible. Have you played with the Jennings Mystery Card effect?

  • You're right, it's not impressive at all. I've shown this to some people and they've had little or no reaction at all. I don't do this effect anymore, or if i do, it's in the context of an on the spot sandwich routine or something similar to make it part of something bigger. Thanks for the input.

(And since it's hard to tell over the internet, I'm NOT being sarcastic (: )

  • nice, i like your style. and how you don't take shit:P

  • lol, I honestly wasnt being sarcastic though

  • haha, now its twice as funny

  • man congrats... thats was nice...

i dont liked the trick it self but ur technique is AWESOME...

    keep going...

  • When you produced the "mystery card", isn't it basically just a J.K. Hartman's pop-out move without the left hand?

    Regards,

    Brandon

  • nope

  • Mirrors! Love that deck.

  • great performance i loved how u made a version without gimmicks

  • I first learned Oz Pearlman's years ago, thinking that there HAD to be a much easier way to do it...and there are tons of methods lol.

  • wth... how did you shoot the "mystery card" what move is that?

  • tutorial??

  • his thumb was on the hearts making it look like diamoind >=D very good trick!!! 4stars!!

  • I positioned the aces incorrectly in the video, the heart should have been upside down, so I would be covering the lower half only of the upside down heart, making it look like a diamond =T

  • apart from the flash at the beginning, the rest was superb, great execution!

  • whats the card shot called

you could use the top shot aswell

  • It's a production original to me, named the Shootout or Larry production. And the top shot would not be an appropriate substitute here haha.

  • why wouldnt it be you can move the aces for it

  • I thought you meant for the mystery card, the second production. I guess you could use the top shot here, but I think it's over used to produce a pair in that way

  • no worries kwl lol

  • I think he means after the production. there is a flash before you "Select" the mystery card.

  • Thanks, I know :)

  • you can found the card shot on "Avenue" by Dorian Rhodell...by the way...nice trick!!

  • it's actually a different sleight called the Larry Production / Shootout Production =]

  • very nice

  • how did u make that cad shoot out like that

  • magic

  • lol, nice answer!!!!!

  • cool impromtu trick i like it!

  • nice

although u flashed the start steal

  • Love it, i think i figured it out, but the way you did it was really smooth, brilliant performance

    Martin

  • your good man, really nice performance!!!! 5/5

  • post a tutorial please. this trick is so awesome. keep up the good working,

  • Wow this is so much better than Oz Pearlmans version where you need friggen duplicates, double sided tape, and god damn black construction paper cut precise to match the size of the card. This version blows his out the window

  • how do u do that card flick at 0:14

  • rifllee pass

  • you flash in the starting..

  • love ur routine, superb and very smooth!!!!!!!10/5 man

  • Thanks very much man

  • whats the flick called at :14?

    j.w

  • if you would not be so lazy and just read any of the other comments....

  • im sorry but sometimes comments can be unreliable

and i dont wana waste my time reading all the comments -___-

  • very very smooth nd awsome pass by the way that was cool =].

  • there was no pass used in this trick

  • Yes it was

  • this is the first edition of the smoke deck huh?

is this version rare cause im getting the first edition in two days^^

  • haha I dont know if I would call it "rare" yet, but I guess it's MORE rare than the second editions.

  • I hope it is good as the second edition :D

  • Hey, I really like the larry production, but i was also wondering about that bottom shot production, it looks like a variation of the jk hartman popout move but with one hand, is that right? and where can I find this

  • That IS the Larry/Shootout production. It can't be learned anywhere, I came up with it independently.

  • ohh my bad, i though the larry production was the one of the 2 aces at the start where they shoot out

  • i really like your ideas....i use this trick very often in my routine...thanks ;)

  • I'm glad you like it!

  • Hey man, sorry for stupid question but where i could learn "Shootout"/"Larry" production? :) Great video btw :)

  • I came up with it independently, so it can't be learned as of right now, sorry. Perhaps in the near future.

  • Damn.. I'm looking forward to tutorial then ;)) Because i use Kenners shot out from Totaly out of Control trick In Ten City ;) Ok thanks for info.

  • So you really came up with that one card production or you're talking about whole trick? :)

  • Both, the production as well as the handling for the effect, although I'm told that Brother John Hammon has a similar handling in one of his effects.

  • Sooooooo does that mean you might post a tutorial????

If u do i cant wait!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry, but I won't be posting any tutorials for the effect or production.

  • I caught on to the effect, nice way to make it ungaffed

But PLEASE, Preety Please Make a tutorial for the shootout move PLEASE I BEG YOU

  • Great!

Whats the name of the pop out move for the mystery Card?

Tip: you can rise the effect, when you sign the spectators card !

    Chhers

  • I don't like signing my cards haha, but you're right. And the name of the move is the "Shootout" or "Larry" production.

  • yeah i wouldnt sign a mirror card too LOL

i always use sticky tape and then the Spectattor can sign the card ;) after the show just rip of the sticky tape and the card is clean ;)

  • hey man. That was flawless. Loved it.

check out my magic videos. They're not as good as your flawless technique, but I guess their good enough.

  • where did you learn this?

  • It's an original routine of mine.

  • very very sneaky sir.

  • you can purchase it at penguin magic. i doubt he'll be revealing this trick.

  • You're right that I wont be revealing this, but this isn't the Penguin Magic instant download version. Mine doesn't use any gimmicks or dupes.

  • i see, then this really nice. propz.

  • Thanks very much, and I think they're very nice cards as well ;)

  • Is this your own version? If it is can I use it because that's some good thinking. By the way, wouldn't it be better to use jokers instead of aces to get rid of any discrepancies? Again, this was awesome.

  • Yes, this is my original version and you are free to expand on it. Probably Jokers would be better, but I didn't perform it right in the video. I didn't position the start the way I should have - if I had positioned the aces in the right orientation, there wouldn't be any discrepancies that someone could catch.

  • OMG U rock i just suscribed to u

i agree with Gnarlycardz can u plz put up the card shootout ttorial, thnx n keep up the good work

  • Hey Bro can u post a tutorial on the shootout? Like u did with the spacewalk. That would really helpful.

  • I only posted a tutorial for SpaceWalk because it's more of a flourish than anything else. I'm not going to make a tutorial on the production.

  • yo dude i made up my own version where the card can b signed also r smoke and mirrors good?

  • Mine can also be singed if there was every and doubt. And yes, the cards feel very nice, however they are now all sold out...second editions should come soon.

  • so there not making anymore of the 1st edition??

  • They completely sold out of the first editions since they made a limited batch. The second editions will probably be the same but with better handling.

  • damn

  • omg your very good i like it alot ! 5/5 keep it up!

  • What's the name of the production( off the bottom)?

  • It's called the Larry/Shootout Production.

  • but, wait, what is the purpose of the two aces? wont the spec think thats wierd?

  • That's what I thought when I first saw a Mystery Card routine, but they've never questioned using the aces. In fact, they don't seem to notice half of what is going on, which allows you to inflate the effect in their minds, making it even more impossible than it already is.

  • genius

  • Where did you learn the Shootout Production send me a privet e-mail if you don't want other people to know plz tell me.....

    Charlie (Eternityonhigh)

  • It isn't taught anywhere because I am the creator ;)

  • Good trick!

  • nice routine.. mind to check out my routine "The Guardian Effect"? thanks..

  • The 'Larry production' looks impressive.

ive already tried a similar method of it. did not quite get the same results.

Well done for that original move. =] and im sure 'Larry' is pleased that you named it after him.

  • Oh right, I forgot that I named it after him haha.

  • i knew by reading other comments- Still cant figure out how that sleight is done.

    D:

  • Pardon, if you'd be so kind- can you tell me the sleight that you did at 0:15?

    The card flick/Production.

Thank you. (nice perfromance btw. loved it. you earned yourself a subscriber.)

  • Thanks for subscribing, and the sleight at 00:15 is called the "Shootout Production".

You can't find it taught anywhere however...

  • cause iam brilliant lol if you dont want to thats ok check out my inversin sumersault its alright charlie (eternityonhigh)

  • Why would I reveal a sleight for you?

  • good trick!!

  • That bluff pass was surprisingly deceptive~

  • first editons were. they arent selling anymore.

  • They weren't discontinued...

  • oh i was under the impression they were my bad lol.

  • They simply ran out of them haha. T11 says that the first edition was sold out, but they were still selling them at DnD's site last time I checked. And if they were to be discontinued, don't you think that a second edition wouldn't be announced? ;)

  • i guess. but the announcement of a second edition is what led me to believe they wouldnt sell anymore first editions. i cant wait for the second edition though. hopefully more style on the backs of the cards. they need to use linoid finish in my opinion.

  • mrrors!!! i cant believe theyre all sold out!!! and only second editions are going to be sold after that! im soooo glad i got them the last day they were in stock!!! :D nice trick! i know a trick a LOT like this so i kind of (note i said kind of) figured out what you did. but still amazing presentation and great trick. 5/5

  • Haha thanks. And I actually prefer how the Split Spades feel, but I just like how the S+M decks look on camera :D

  • no problem. again great trick. and i agree! im keeping one package of mirrors unopened though. cause they might be worth something in the future!

  • im keeping one of each unopened also haha.

  • good idea. but i only got mirrors... cause i didnt know they would sell out!!! how many of each do you have?

  • I've got 3 of each deck, including the ones I'm using in the videos. I don't know for sure yet it I want to open 4 decks or not.

  • lol i would buy a smoke deck from you... unopened of course. but yeah i wouldnt open anymore!! these MIGHT become like the black ghost 1sts

  • Probably won't be so in demand since they're releasing second editions for the S+M decks. They initially didn't plan on creating second edition black ghosts, that's why they were so rare and expensive.

  • but the fact that these are discontinued like the jerrys nuggets would add some value to it dont you think?

  • These weren't discontinued...

  • that was cool great job 5*

  • Thanks very much.

  • outstanding performance!

You should make a tutorial for some of the moves.

as the two aces flips out and the card that jumps out.

    5 /5

  • Haha I don't think im going to make any tutorials of my productions. I am actually working on a set of notes, more for personal use than anything else where these two are taught.

    Thanks for the comment

  • hmmmm...are you cheating somehow

  • Haven't you asked me this before? Haha. In my videos, I haven't/don't plan on "cheating".

  • but every magician cheats

  • Then why are you asking?

  • because im a nosey git,geriammad.

  • Well, I can assure you that I can do a ruddy pass, so don't worry ;)

  • oh,thats allright then.

  • very well done here.5/5

  • Thanks Eddie =]

  • woohooooooooooo!cod4 coming over lol. nice cards tho, told u they looked okay.

  • what its the name of the mystery card revelation??

    thanks!

  • If you're referring to the production of the mystery card, that's an original move. And I promised my friend I'd name it after him, so I suppose the name is "The Larry Production" haha.

Almost everything in the video is original save for a tiny displacement I credit to Aaron Fisher.

  • how do smoke and mirrors handle???what finish?

  • They have Aristos finish, I dont know if they handle exactly the same tho.

  • Haha I'm not sure about how they handle yet, I need to properly break them in. They're pretty stiff, just as stiff or a bit more so than a pack of Split Spades. When I fanned them at first, I thought they fanned horribly, but that is only because the cards are printed off center...sigh. From what I can tell so far though is that these cards will feel great after I properly break them in, and if you don't like the design it actually grows on you. As for the finish, I'm not sure either.
