I stayed on and off campus. Honestly, I would have stayed on campus, but after I got fired from being an RA, I just had a bad taste for it, but I loved both. I agree with the pantry this, my refrigerator freshman year was 3 ft tall easy, but you get over that. No meal plan since freshman year, I had a full kitchen in my apartments (even on campus) so I cooked.

I fell for the bed sheets sold by the school. They convinced me that the dorm beds were a custom size. I later found out it was Twin XL. I ended up paying $200 on a bunch of bed sheets when I could have gotten it at Walmart for $50 and spent the rest on clothes.
