The brakes you see in the vid do not slow the truck down. Usually these trucks are propelled by electric motors in the wheelhub, one on each side of the rear "axle". The same motors are switched to generators for braking the 600 tons. The disc brakes are only used as stop brakes, when the truck isn't moving anymore. They are a lot too small to slow that mass down.
