Christianity is about following the Christ, not his followers. This is important, as many who profess to follow the Christ aren't really following him.

@HeroOfChristArchives This is very true. There are a lot of false preachers out there. I can name a few IMO benny hinn, billy graham, joel osteen. Check them out if you must, but BEWARE!

Followers are following fallible followers, the blind leading the blind.

If Paul told the truth, then they quote truth. But if Paul lied, then they quote lies. One must use discretion when quoting any professed follower of Christ.

We are directed to follow the Christ (Matthew 4:19, 19:21; Mark 1:17, 10:21; Luke 9:59, 18:22; John 1:43) not the professed followers of the Christ.
