Hi! I was wondering, which MAC brush would be the very best to use for stippling/foundation? I know that the most common is the 187 or the smaller 188. the 181SE is a special edition brush so you can only get it in a kit. any mac brushes with SE behind the number means that it was mass produced and not hand made. The 181 is hand made like all other mac brushes but it is not in the permanent collection. hope this helps (:

@veronicanle the only difference is size. the 181 se is more tappered and dense, so applicaton is more precise. quality is the same, they are made out of the same material

Hey i have a question about the brushes, especially the 187 by MAC. when i first bought my brush it was silky soft (the bristles) and when i wash it and lay it out to dry it just still feels moist no matter how long it drys for!!! does this happen to you? or anyone else thats reading this? what can i do? i do everything for it to dry i also squeeze the excess moisture out of it with a towel but it feels like its not as soft as i first got it.....help ;(

yeah that happens to me too. but just use it a couple times and it won't feel wet anymore..

leave it to dry for 2 days and 2 nights to guarentee that it i s dry, also use brush cleaner, not just any harsh soap because brush cleaner has conditioners in it
