  • The intro really reminds me of "Devil Driver - The End Of The Line"

  • @1990gent

    @fluffypopcicle

Soilwork. that makes 4. the big 4 of melodeath lol.

  • i forgot to live seated in one of those fucking trains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have a new favorite!!!

  • why are people talking about Bring me the horizon ??shut the fuck up and enjoy the music !

  • I love this band, I particularly enjoy the way they mix melody and brutality, it gives a real beauty to their songs.

  • @t norfolk i live in france and i have "section d'assault" and "johnny halliday" in state you have systeme of a down, metallica and much other it's much better than me and you can understand the song take in one's stride

  • @thenorfolkngood used to think the same about the netherlands (where i live). till i actually found out within temptation/epica are dutch. and later i discovered I Chaos. now THAT's brutal shit. srsly, check em out!

  • fuck. Never heard of these guys. Where the hell was I?

  • Well, its not important who has who because we all listen to it and everyone have some band to contribute. That's why we'r metalheads!!!

  • Can someone add the entire Years In Waste album please?

  • Comment removed

  • There's good metalcore in the U.S see August Burns Red, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya and Enter Shikari's debut. All the local bands in every city are awful awful metalcore and there's alot of shit sharing the metalcore name (Attack Attacl, BMTH etc). Every genre has it's gem's metalcore is just a gem covered in shit, never dismiss an entire genre.

  • @NO11YOU TBH I think anything with "core" in the genre type should be avoided. Though maybe thats because anytime I hear someone talking about metalcore, they're talking about BMTH, which as you rightly point out are completely shit!

  • @ChromeXk Hardcore is a synonymous genre to metal with a history of great bands, while not as diverse, lot of hardcore bands have there own character. Metalcore in the mid 90's used to have a REAL hardcore influence, see Earth Crisis, Deadguy, Integrity and Converge. A bunch of faggots literally hijacked Metalcore wich is why we have shit like BMTH.

  • @NO11YOU Converge a good metal band?

not helping your argument for "hardcore"

  • @sniktawleahcim I called Converge a Metalcore band, you know...since they play Metalcore?

  • @NO11YOU You implied that converge was better than any modern metalcore. I was disagreeing. Converge is probably the worst metalcore i've ever heard.

  • @sniktawleahcim Converge far out classes modern metalcore with complex guitar work and polyrhythmic drumming, as well as frequent use of unorthodox time signatures while simultaneously defining many of the elements of metalcore while 99% of modern Meralcore bands are stuck chugging in drop C over and over again.

  • @NO11YOU What's BMTH? I listen to Converge, thanks for sharing the other Band names, gonna check them out.

  • @deadtissue Bring Me The Horizon, awful band, best example of bad metalocre/deathcore there is.

  • checked them out bcos they play on Neckbrakersball, didnt expect too much but they are awesome \m/

  • the metal in america comment has a lot of truth to it..... america is over ridden with CORE all the bands claiming to be mdm are so core they just end up with such an unorganic sound. granted the absence, allegaeon, enforsaken, byzantine. they rule. its more consistently good in europe. america is 98 percent core. (in the topic of melodic death)

  • an infinite mind owns. and how wuold you call OMG a new band lol

  • @PrinceDotPoison there's shitty metal everywhere, even in europe, and we aren't talking about black metal but i agree with you as far as that genre. theres a lot of badass bands in the US you just gotta look for them

  • Eargasmic INtro!!!! :D :D

  • @thenorfolkngood dude what an ignorant statement, you obviously don't know shit about metal and were just trying to kiss ass, swedish and finnish metal are badass but that was such an ignorant comment about the metal in america

  • @stalkerP00Q Well a lot of metal in the US DOES suck compared to Europe. And if were talking about American black metal, we have like, Ceremonial Castings and thats about it. the rest sucks.

  • \m/ \m/ support death metal

check out kill crazy on face book

  • Bloody hell. I'm not a metal fan but this is great!

  • at 2:48 it sounds like fuck In Flames... :P (and I like In Flames, before you go all ninja on me... :)) this song is the best thing i've come across in weeks :D

  • @themetalluc lol, definitely sounds like he's sayin fuck in flames

  • I've said it before and Ill say it again. International bands shit on US...

  • !!!! Could someone put tabs into let's say songsterr com? This song is like, like I don't know :D

    T.Y. :/ ^^ :)

  • Nordic metal pwns, once again. Hienoa Suomi!

  • love the original more, but this song is awesome in any version

  • Love the intro even though it sounds like it's taken from Amorphis' "The Way" which probably was taken from Ozric Tentacles' "Dissolution", but what do I know.. Love them all.

  • Magnifica!!!

  • today in romania! i can't wait!!!

  • if omnium gatherum were a woman, it would be a women with invigorating, ashaming, penetrating beauty, one that anyone would give anything to procreate with her, just perfection

  • this could be the beggening of a new sub-genre witihn melodeath, like the nwobhm, but this wouold be the insomnium gatherum movement, a new subgenre of melodeath, bands like ensiferum, ETOS, kalmah, wintersun, MPE, tracedawn, noumena..every band which is in the melodeath movement and has the finnish style or influences, even folk metal, as long as it is melodeath and has the finnish infulence,is time to separate swedish and finnish melodeath, if anyone agrees spread this idea out for subge

  • Perfection.-

  • I instantly fell in love with this band. Just this moment.

  • not bad :)

  • menos mal ta estaba perdiendo la esperanza en el metal

  • Tää on ihan kingi biisi!!!

  • On mielenkiintoista että monet bändit tulevat suomessa.. anteeksi minun kauhea suomea.. terveisiä saksasta!

  • Egyptian fan !!

  • @GearOfDarkness they are the gods of technical death metal

  • Fucking epic :D

  • I live in the states and we don't have 2% of the metal bands Sweden and Finland has.......we have Lady Gaga tho. Fucking worthless shit man. Keep on rocking Sweden and Finland

  • @thenorfolkngood

We got some great bands in Denmark too ;-)

  • @HeavyHertzum Yeah Mercenary is a good band

  • @HeavyHertzum DENIAL OF GOD

  • @thenorfolkngood and fuckin disturbed and FFDP XDDDDD bad time to be a yank musician

  • @thenorfolkngood try to survive dude

  • @thenorfolkngood Finland Rocks but not Sweden

  • @ErrorEnter

I live in the Netherlands, but imo, whole Scandinavia rocks. Metal wouldn't be at this place if it was not for Scandinavia as a whole!

  • @SinisterSkipI live in Finland and in Finland we do not like Swedes, but it is in Sweden has many good metal bands. example In Flames. but you're right!

  • @ErrorEnter

I think it's quite shortminded to not like Sweden. As if ALL Sweden are evil people that have tortured all Finnish people. Come on, it's 2011. Metalbrothers should unite!

  • finland? sweden? go fuck yourself.. immatured pussy... dn't try to drag everything like those motherfucking politician.... metal music rocks.... put it that way.. punk!

  • @gerrykipz suck ma dick

  • @thenorfolkngood Thanks a lot man! :D But you still got some very talented Metal Bands over there.

  • @thenorfolkngood yeah the states got everything but good new music

  • @thenorfolkngood Not as bad as ireland man but at least US has Agalloch which is all one really needs : p

  • @thenorfolkngood dude, your country has Big 4,Testament,Dream Theater,Obituary,Death, and lots of other names.Stop bitching about "the US is not metal enough"

  • @thenorfolkngood: trueee :) about half the bands I love come from either Finland or Sweden!

  • @thenorfolkngood nevertheless, we do have some great kicking ass bands. And don't forget, we invented thrash and death.

  • Fucking incredible... nothing more to say...

  • i am positively overwhelmed with all these new bands. Listening to them is like a journey throgh universe discovering new worlds...

  • @kamelot1970 Haha hell yeah! \ , , /

  • @kamelot1970 no shit man

  • @kamelot1970 2003 is 8 years ago...

  • nyyyycc!!!!!!!

  • Best song of this band ever!!! Their ideas are dead!!! Should i say im proud to be Finnish??? Because of this band???

  • @DemonosSilvast Someone did not listen to New World Shadows...

  • @polarbear1110 I have heard the whole album, but it does not impress me!!! even though they live in same town where i live...

  • double delay in a metal song... interesting...

  • The sound of the acoustic guitar sounds a lot like old Amorphis ... I like!

  • @Hubcool367 Yeah I don't know why I mentioned Soilwork... Mediocre at best. I really don't like COB though.

  • The USA Is Jealous!... LOL

  • @MrLordDrazil Nah, we have Agalloch.

  • intro is pretty rad

  • can somebody tell me how to learn to understand the vocals? i can sometimes understand them but this is band is hard

  • @Mrtheunnameable

its all good dude, i have liked this type of music for 5-6 years and i still need to look up the lyrics but thats part of the fun.

  • @Mrtheunnameable what i do is i look up lyrics try and memorize lyrics and after a bit of listening to the band you get the feel of the vocalist your trying to understand that's what i do for most bands trust me it will get easier =)

  • @kalmah19090 thanks :)

  • BEST INTRO EVER

  • Thx youtube; just found it while i was listening to Noumena, Hail Scandinavia !

Omnium Gatherum, Noumena, Insomnium, Dart Tranquillity ( GOD ), In Flames ( old ) Scar Symmetry... Fuck it, i love Melodeath !

  • @Loselee Dark Tranquility you mean :) but yes they are amazing!

  • @Loselee FUCK YES MY FRIEND, FUCK YES. In Flames is at top for me, but OG and DT are close seconds.

  • chingon...enserio...es.impresionante

  • What a fucking great album, the production is awsome!!!

  • There is one band that I read little about in here which I consider an awesome one. Noumena. Those guys are great, and will have a future if they continue the way they are making music right now.

  • yes,yes ,yeeeeeessss

  • lol what the fuck? Why is shitty ass CORE music like soilwork being discussed under a REAL METAL video? Anyway, not a real big fan of this band but I do like a couple of songs from this album particularly this one

  • Comment removed

  • do I sense some Inflames influence in there?

  • @BillyCauseyjr This doesn't sound anything like In Flames. The vocals in this song sound different, and the overall melody is way more complex than that of In Flames' songs. And yes, I've listen to whole IF production. And I like it. But Son's Thoughts and Redshift-album from Omnium Gatherum is something that In Flames can't be compared to.

  • @OnlyLifeMatters I used IF as my compaison because I have nothing else to compare them to. I usually listen to tech death but have been getting more into the melodic bands recently.

  • Comment removed

  • @BillyCauseyjr Yes but with a more dark, cold touch; it's Finnish in fact.

  • Really, i listen a lot of fucking great bands from youtube....Noumena, insomnium, Mercenary etc etc

  • This intro it just fucking epic . I don't know how this band is not hugh like in flames or COB .

  • @motig79 Maybe because IF are one of the first and main melodeath bands, pioneers of the genre? I can't believe you'd mention shitty COB before DT or Soilwork.

  • @DeepestShad0w soilwork? lmao

  • @DeepestShad0w yeah, why Soilwork? If you hate COB because they include other genres like power metal into their music (or if you hate them just because they're popular, but that would be silly right), you should be hating Soilwork too for their gay ass clean vocals.

  • @DeepestShad0w Soilwork is a sorry fucking excuse for a gothenburg style band, their music sounds more like metalcore

  • @DeepestShad0w first off, DT and IN FLAMES invented melodeath, soilwork is shit compared to COB anyways, since COB obviously perfected the genre enough to become famous, more famous than DT. U obviously fail at genres

  • @cman5445 listen to some insomnium... youll forget about all the other bands

  • @getgankednub I have listened to insomnium

there deep growls and epic instrementals added to the heavy bass is pretty epic, but there are many more bands i would rather listen to than them

  • @getgankednub pffft yeah there good but KALMAH!!!

  • amorphis the way!

  • Ei tullu enää edes yllätyksenä, että tää oli pohjoismaalainen bändi. ;)

  • Wow! youtube suggested this one... I love it!

  • Love youtube- makes me find such fucking great band bands!

  • @andershoeren THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE

  • @andershoeren and when it is a bad day, youtube deploys WGM to disable your enjoyment.

  • @andershoeren definition of band bands: so fucking awesome they need the word band twice

  • @tsunami2011

    That

  • @andershoeren hell yeah, same for me

  • suomesta kovaa!!

  • forgot to live, seated on one of those

    FUCKING TRAINS!

  • song is severely strong

  • hell yeah, great sound :)

  • Love these riffs.

  • Yet another awesome Finnish MeloDeath band. God I love my country :D

  • @Dokumannen92 So jealous. It's a good time to be a Finn.

  • @Dokumannen92 I love your country too mate, as far as I'm concerned you guys shit metal excellence, it's fucking beautiful.

  • @Dokumannen92 I love your country too, lol.

  • @Dokumannen92 and I love your country too :)

  • @Dokumannen92 I am so moving there one day and I will find an awesome metalhead viking man to make babies with

  • @GameSlut That was so weird...in a good way =D

  • @Dokumannen92

most of the good modern metal bands come from finnland and sweden these days.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Yeah, no doubt interest grew a while ago when guys like Hellborg, Eklundh and Jens and Anders Johansson were playing such great stuff!!! Oh, and Yngwie too I guess!!! LOL, Peace!

  • @oilkills

yeah, yngwie is probably the most important metal artist to come out of sweden. such a huge influence on the shred world and the metal world for that matter. i just wish he evolved a bit more, i don't think he mixes things up enough. that's my personal opinion though, and i don't want any yngwie fans getting upset because i have high respect for yngwie too! yea, peace!

  • @Fluffypopcicle These days?...lets say for the last 20-25years

  • @1990gent

I definitely wouldn't go that far. America was really the best source for metal until recent years. Dream Theater, Death , The Big 4, Pantera, Symphony X, Nevermore, Kamelot, Burn The Priest/Lamb Of God etc. it was until recently that the majority of American metal started sucking and even then bands like Disturbeed and Avenged Sevenfold still have identities of their own (you could say they suck all you want, but they are instantly recognizable).

  • @Fluffypopcicle Yes you're right, but i mean swedish metal(melodic death metal) born in the early '90, about 20years ago, created by In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. From that time since today northern european bands have become maybe the best in general. So maybe 25yrs its too much but at least 20 for sure. By saying this i dont mean to denigrate all american bands, german bands and so on, this countries have great bands too. Just in north europe they have a great metal culture, love them.

  • @1990gent

Agreed, but you forgot At The Gates :)

  • @Fluffypopcicle You kiddin me? "These days?" Good melodeath has always come from Scandinavian countries!

  • @llamacarlito

    Dumbass.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Don't understand what warranted that response, but you should try masturbating more, maybe you'll be a little bit more of a happy person!

  • @llamacarlito

I didn't type that comment... how peculiar, but sorry about that.

  • Amazing! I just found out about these guys. Just how I like my music.

I've posted this vid on my death metal website on which I post daily so you can find more/new bands and music.

If you're looking for more stuff like this, come check it out. Just Google "death metal baboon".

  • @Njiekovic i been on there. i can vouch for this site

  • Thanks man :)

I appreciate that. People seem to like my website, which is a great motivator.

    Cheers!

  • @NunchakuDiabolus then you're stupid.

  • 1st time i hear this and all i have to say is - im so totally blown away this is hawt ,*Falls down on the ground and salutes these guys *

Needs to find out where to buy them 0.0

  • pretty good, first time listening to em. I like how the lyrics sound diff from other bands, but i dont really think it sounds that good. pretty good song tho overall.

  • I love that song :o)! One of my most favorite by Omnium Gatherum!

  • bad voice or just bad recorded - not strong enough - sounds like a 14 years old boy trying to come down with death metal

  • Its his own style....In my opinion it is original and nothing like the generic growls that most bands use

  • ok - it was not ok of me to write that if one is an authentic artist - sorry - its not so bad - but i listened warpath before and so the difference was very big : )

  • I find the path of music you choose is like life, you tend to dig what you dig and when someone else likes what you like you kinda build a war of opinion without even meaning it, i've been through alot of music phases, yeah starting with some embarrasing things to this day however, I know what i like now 4-5 years of listening to heaps of unknown metal especially for australians, i was spoonfed music by an american mate who tutored me into liking his playlist then i did the same to my friends :)

  • Trunks - i guess you agree with me if i say, that its very hard to find really touching top tracks though we get very much of them by internet - or maybe because of that - and the very few i like i am ready to pay for especially if they are unknown and i know: when i enjoyed making music i made a lot of bullshit crap : )) and seriously i have only one thing to say to all who makes musc: keep on your own way and stay authentic.

  • seems i need some more english lessons lolol

  • Aye i agree however listening to a song one time will not always pack results i find when listening to new bands, new genres and things new to me totally if i don't like something i won't pay it no mind which is a shame because opeth took me about 6 months to really dig that was before my death metal phase however but after that phase it made me love Progressive metal even more not to mention Folk Metal, Viking metal and made Melodic Death my favorite new genre hell opeth made me tolarate growls

  • @Trunks2oo6 OMG...THATS ALMOST EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. I Listened to metal for ages, When I heard death metal I thought EWW. But as soon As I heard Opeth, Growls are probably the best thing in the world now. Now progressive death metal and Melodic death metal are my favorite genres.

    LONG LIVE METAL \m/

  • @JordoHC that's interesting because the first death metal i heard was cannibal corpse. fell in love with them and deicide. then i heard Dark tranquility and at the gates. and was then in love with melodeath even more. That was Five years ago and regardless, I hated opeth. 4 years later i gave opeth another try and now they are one of my FAVORITE. Within 2 months I owned all their albums.

  • @Trunks2oo6 Now EWW, Just something I wasnt used to becuase I listened to Iron Maiden for so long

  • just awsome !

  • for some reason that face reminds me of the wizard or OZ :P

  • Man, why oh why have I not heard about this band? I'm glad to had found them. They are really good in melodies. Can anybody tell me what is their best album?

  • This one

  • Yeah Spirits and August Light is prolly my fave as well, Years in waste was also awesome, many awesome songs on that too, haven't heard much of their newer stuff however still getting used to the new vocals >.> i just like their older stuff more, their newer cd's though are prolly better in the bands evolution musically though.

  • I feel the same way, i love the originality and experimental stuff they did on their first 2 albums, their next two with the new vocalist just seem to lack that awesome quality, they just seem to be watered down a bit and lost their flavour in a sense....
