  • the first time i heard this i was seventeen rolling down Hollywood blvd. it never left my mind.

  • One hell of an inspiration. Hail to bands that keep their acts true industrial/experimental.Alas the "scene" does noy offer them a place during festivals etc.. as we can confirm first hand :-/

  • when I hear band's like SPK, E:N. and other of the old Industrial band's I remembering why I starting to play drums in the first place, to have an Excuse to hit on different object ^^

  • @ZiddanSleaze

I prefer hitting different objects and sampling them.

  • The rivethead scene is REALLY needing to bring this brand of authentic, organic (yet synthesized) raw industrial back. I'm so frickin tired of MAC industrial, and minky-ass electro-rave/metal "industrial".

  • Your wish shall be granted. It's coming.

  • Aaaaaaaaamen!!!

  • The old industrial bands are coming back, even spk. Or maby it's just another band using SpK-name..

  • so far ahead of their time

  • and again, the retard who counfuses them with SCH.

  • Sta hoces da kazes ovim?! Da je SPK iz Bosne?! Ahahahaa :D TI verovatno mislis na SCH....Ali mi ipak nije jasno kako si to pomesao. I jos nazivas ljude retardima....

  • Graeme Revell is hot

  • oh yes! :-9

  • indeed

  • Great song. Love the drums.

  • Un buen trabajo, agradable, para escuchar y ver. Una delicia. Ruido inteligente.

  • What CD is this song on by the way?

  • Zamia Lehmanni: Songs of Byzantine Flowers

  • Video added to playlist.

  • the sickest band ever! <compliment!

  • Really gets me. Can't remember seeing this on the DVD I have from SPK. Very beautiful and dark.

  • Nice.

  • you shat your pants when you saw them live - awesome stuff - they are to be reverred for a long time to come - gods of alchemic music

  • Really different from the Zamia Lehmani album.

  • yep

  • Graham Revelle from SPK does soundtracks for Hollywood films these days.

    Surreal, huh?

  • xD yes

  • The Alchemy video compilation came out somewhere around 1982 or 1983. Was quite interesting at that time.

  • Yes indeed. In addition to SPK it featured (among others) Portion Control, Test Dept, Survival Research Laboratories, Lustmord and a deeply warped interpretation of the Sid Vicious story courtesy of German collective Die Tödliche Doris.

And who can forget the video's final piece - an anonymous Wst Indian womam singing "Count Your Blessings"?

At least, that's how I remember the version I saw ending. Did I just imagine this?

  • That should of course be "West Indian woman" not "Wst Indian womam".

    Sorry about that!

  • excellent!

  • I don't think I've heard of the Alchemy video.

I found this on soulseek a few weeks ago.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. If you have any more SPK material, please bring it on! So hard to find it... chilling stuff!
