"Bel and the Dragon" is my favourite. I like the additions for their value as traditions about Daniel (one of the lion's den stories has to be a doublet of the other). I don't understand why the Dragon bursts when Daniel feeds it its unusual food though. It's curious that Bel (= Marduk) & the Dragon (= a *mushhushu*, as on the Ishtar Gate ?) are given separate stories; bec. iconographically they are shown together; & Daniel seems to be in touch with Babylonian ideas.
I think it's important to note daniel is one of the bibles awesome vegetarians, and does a proof for the health effects on this cool choice, which apparently gives people "powers".
