I bought an IDE to SATA adapter but it doesn't work right.. it takes forever to recognize the drive on boot and some functions won't work like defrag or virus scanning

your only showing the Adaptor With A green LED,indicating you have power to the adapter,show your HDD working or DVD working,show where it shows up in the BIOS as SATA 1& 2,I have two of those hooked up they show the green LED,but they don't show up in BIOS,and hard drive or DVD still not working,can you help.

@wildbill2166 well my camera is full (sony hard drive Cam) but i can be descriptive .... here .... i connect the adapter to the back of the ide drive then connect the 4 pin molex and the 4 pin floppy power for the card and also the sata to the motherboard .... i boot up and the bios does not see it so then i try to play with the jumpers ... still nothing
