@SilverMoonPros Well, I believe in the law of causality (which all of science is based off of) everything that had a beginning needed a cause. God, in his eternal state did not have a beginning, he has always been. He was never caused or "created" At the big bang, time, space, and matter came into existence. This can only be caused by timeless, spaceless, immaterial (since it created that.) Therefore its either 1. an unembodied mind, or numbers and symbols.

Whether gods exist or not is entirely immaterial to whether or not people believe that they do, and consequently whether they're theists or atheists. So no, atheists are not "a little theist". You also assume that all version of theism will imply that you will know whether gods exist. That's simply false. Gods could exist, yet afterlives and judgements not.

@TheRatzor The problem that nobody can ever know with certainty what external reality entails is true even for someone who would claim to have seen god by the way. Skepticism can't be defeated conclusively. The best you can do is require justification for your beliefs - such as experiencing god would be for belief, and not experiencing him would be for not believing. Believing things about external reality without evidence is destructive to one's epistemic foundations.

Jews, Christians, and muslims may disagree on which god is the right god, but they all agree on one thing and it's that there is a god or group of gods.
