First, why is the shit CG in movies like transformers so praised (and ultra-shit, like twilight) but amazing videos like these go unnoticed. They should hire guys like these to do movies that actually don't suck balls.

I really don't like the whole thing where they move so fluidly, it looks dumb. This trailer and the whole Mechwarrior series are my all-time favorite giant robot thing. And, okay, Transformers.

I've enjoyed my victories over the light-weights, airbornes and bladers since the last Armored Core. I pray that I may continue to devastate and deny speed to those who dare defy the laws of gravity.
I have to admit I'm liking the smaller size, it makes it more realistic and now we can actually fight in a more tactically realistic situation instead of one shot killing or plain ignoring every other enemy except other mechs
I hope V is more "actiony" I dont like going alone against half an army of robots, on "small featureless" maps, with one or two occasional allies, and all that, I hope is more of a pilot soldier in a war following orders kind of thing, and has a much more interesting storyline that keeps you at the edge of your seat, I ve always liked AC but I feel in the recent games they have failed to delivered.

@sata600 Remember Mechwarrior 4? they butchered the title and shelved it. we will have to wait and see if Smith & Tinker can finish up the reboot. if they can't or it doesn't meet expectations of the fans the series could die off entirely as a PC/Console title.
@sata600 do a quick google search for Mechwarrior online. Microsoft has long since stopped producing any video games with the exception of flight sim, and have sold all the IP's but they are working on a Mechwarrior MMO which will be free to play and done on the CryEngine 3

I have been such a fan of this series since day one on Playstation. Their movies are always top notch. Even though the games can be sluggish, i'm blown away with each new installment. They really need some backing to make a movie. This looks better then Transformers...
Towards the end it seems to show a load of clips from other unrelated scenes - could it be that there'll be loads of these awesome cinematics in the game? Probably just attempting to show how widespread the conflict is or summat, but one can always hope...

Don't get me wrong, I like both types of mechs but I prefer to keep them separated.

@PlagueNeko I totally agree and that's why I like Gundam's more realistic portrayal as seen in 0080 & Ms Igloo, and wish that they would follow that "genre " so to speak instead of the plot armor crap we see now. Armored Core has always been there as my escape to realistic mech warfare, hell it was one of the first games I ever played and my favorite video game series. I also grew up watching original Gundam and 0080, which looking back 0080 is probably not something a 8 year old should watch.

@PlagueNeko I hear you, I'm only 16 but I've played Armored Core 2 Another Age, Armored Core Silent Line, and Armored Core Nexus and prefer the style to 4 and FA which I also own. I always wanted to play Last Raven, but never got the chance. Silent Line has to be my favorite, I hate the Linx bullshit, still miss the days of the Ravens and Global Cortex.

weird taste you people get i mean you prefer something that is heavy, clunky and slow over something that is actually usable in combat? Pray to god game makers don't think about a game where they mix Gundam/Zoids/Gurren against your precious realistic heavy, clunky, slow WEAK mechs of war or peepz like you will be utterly destroyed. But that would be a lesson, fiction allows you to have stuff that are actually fit for combat yet you prefer realism... -_-

@VollyTyrannis You people are so weird seriously, Fiction gives you mechs that can move fluidly and can provide you with decent fights yet you prefer to drop good battles in favor of something that would get beaten easy by a gundam/zoids etc... for the simple fact that is realistic? I don't get it... Being slow means your an easy target to hit with lots of missles bullets and lasers flying around wouldn't you rather speed and maneuverability to evade enemy fire?

I hope V is more "actiony" I dont like going alone against half an army of robots, on "small featureless" maps, with one or two occasional allies, and all that, I hope is more of a pilot soldier in a war following orders kind of thing, and has a much more interesting storyline that keeps you at the edge of your seat, I ve always liked AC but I feel in the recent games they have failed to delivered.

@sata600 Remember Mechwarrior 4? they butchered the title and shelved it. we will have to wait and see if Smith & Tinker can finish up the reboot. if they can't or it doesn't meet expectations of the fans the series could die off entirely as a PC/Console title.

@sata600 do a quick google search for Mechwarrior online. Microsoft has long since stopped producing any video games with the exception of flight sim, and have sold all the IP's but they are working on a Mechwarrior MMO which will be free to play and done on the CryEngine 3

I have been such a fan of this series since day one on Playstation. Their movies are always top notch. Even though the games can be sluggish, i'm blown away with each new installment. They really need some backing to make a movie. This looks better then Transformers...

Towards the end it seems to show a load of clips from other unrelated scenes - could it be that there'll be loads of these awesome cinematics in the game? Probably just attempting to show how widespread the conflict is or summat, but one can always hope...
