Wasn't sure if I could get this old program to run with XP, but it works fine .... it's IM3 that's caused me problems.

You could try The Incredible Machine 2. It's basically the same game as TIM3, but DOS based. It works quite well with XP, but you have to open up INSTALL.EXE (the settings program for the game) and set the music synth to Roland MT-32 to get music in-game.

Thanks, I got it running after a friend gave me the full instructions for getting 'Professor Tim's Incredible Machine' to run in XP. Since posting my original message, I've also got Incredible Machines 'Contraptions' and 'More Contraptions' which are both excellent. A different game 'Crazy machines, the wacky contraptions game' is similar but has some neat twists. As far as I can tell, 'Crazy Machines 2' isn't available in the UK.

But even so, the original 'TIM' is still a darn good game.

You can build your own setup out of the whole items library which is cool!
