this is one of the cartoons that remained in the back of my mind because i loved watching it so much. all my cartoons on vhs had to be thrown away so i made it my life goal to remember them all and to find them in the future and watch them. i have found this one and being reunited with my childhood has simply at this point brought me to tears. cartoons like this cannot simply be forgotten.

this was back before silly slapstick on tv like the flinstones and scooby-doo. don't get me wrong, i like scooby-doo, but it really is a lot of slapstick. and i feel that the animation is worse than these old cartoons. the stuff on tv for kids these days may have better line quality and color, but it doesn't have the same flow and rhythm of the older cartoons.

It always began with the cop carrying the doll over to the tenement building where the blind girl lived, I didn't know until right now that he fished the doll out of the trash, I always assumed he bought a cheap doll at the local five and dime. It's bad enough the kid as blind, he has to expose her to smallpox too? "I'll be back when I find you some nice polio".

@honeyxghurl I had one of those tapes it was in a pink case and it was simply called Cartoon Classics. It was the best tape to watch with over six hours of cartoon on it. I don't think it works anymore though its so old.
I used to watch this all the time when I was little. When all my sisters were out for school, and my Dad would go to work, I would sit in my bedroom watching all of the Paramount Cartoon's on VCR's in my bedroom, alone, drinking hot chocolate. Oh, my childhood, how I miss you <3
How beautiful were these cartoons. Now at days children got Family Guy, with a main character that is dumb and lazy and a baby who wants to kill his mother. : / How sad the world became.

Only if parents are foolish enough to let them see family guy, since it's for adults. But yes, cartoons like these are much better than the spongebob type stuff kids are fed these days.

Wow!!! I own a VHS of this somewhere lost in the basement of my house in SPANISH. It was strange to watch it because the voice had to record over the voice in ENGLISH. So when ever the voice in SPANISH would talk, all the music and sound 'miraculously' paused. lolzz!!! i might attempt to put it up!!!

I was very small when I saw this. My sister was in age when you start saying "yuck" for everything a bit childish you see and it was really dumb when she just kept repeating how stupid this cartoon was even though I enjoyed it. The fact that really made me happy was that my name is a finnish interpretation of "Annie" (sometimes they call raggedy Ann Annie) and the translation of the title had my name in it. :-) Even back then I realized how serious this subject was and this moved me.

Did people seriously used to just yell, "Halloween!" That seems weirdly random, like greeting someone with, "Birthday" instead of "Happy Birthday" or, "Christmas" without the "merry" at the front of it.

This is my all time favorite Raggedy Ann cartoon. I plan on my children growing up on all the classic and disney cartoons...not a lot of the junk thats on tv nowadays.

Of the three Raggedy Ann cartoons (those are all I've been able to find), this one is my favorite. LOVE Officer Flannigan's comment at the end.

Did people seriously used to just yell, "Halloween!" That seems weirdly random, like greeting someone with, "Birthday" instead of "Happy Birthday" or, "Christmas" without the "merry" at the front of it.
I never saw this cartoon before, and I have to admit, I got a little misty-eyed.

Dudo mucho que exista una versión doblada de la caricatura, ya que es rara y creo que ni siquiera en E.U.A. era muy conocida; lo más que se podría hacer es subtitularla.

This is my all time favorite Raggedy Ann cartoon. I plan on my children growing up on all the classic and disney cartoons...not a lot of the junk thats on tv nowadays.

I got this movie. I could 't watch this a lot because I'd always tear up for the girl just like I'm doing now! Still love it and is WAY better than what's on now!!!

I remember the video I had with this cartoon on it, there was one with weird eggs and another with balloons, I soo wana see them again but i cant remember the name of them! If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! This particular one was one of my favourites tho, along with little lulu.
