This song should never be touched by anyone but Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. Nat Bassingthwaite certainly sounds better here than any other recording of hers so far, but Bush and Gabriel took this song to another place altogether, and no one else has ever come close. These two can sing, but they should not have attempted this. This lacks the depth of emotion and meaning of the original. Ah the 80's, for all the bad, there was so much good as well. Just listen to the original of this from 1986.

This cover just doesn't work on any level as a massive Bush fan I'll admitt I'm biased but this woman can't sing well enough to take on Kates part, and he's trying too hard to sound like peter gabriel. There's just no real passion or emotion in either performance.

Must agree I much do prefer the emotion and style of the Kate Bush/Peter Gabriel duet. The "female" part of the song is supposed to sound supportive of the "male" IMHO and yet Natalie doesn't seem to convey the "everything will be ok" type emotion that Kate Bush seems to be able to. Shannon Noll doesn't seem to convey someone having problems that require comforting by the female role.
