Dexter must be the bloodiest series ever, but very intelligent and great entertainment.

Only one thing annoys me: his sister's constant. gratuitous and counter-productive swearing. I suppose it would be politically incorrect to say that such a foul mouth is especially ugly and unpleasant in a woman. Apart from that she's an interesting and attractive character.

Further to Megan's continual and irritating use of bad language, I was glad to find when I reached the 4th season that two of her colleagues on separate occasions mildly rebuke her for this bad habit. Later when Lt Maria Laguerta presents her with her new detective badge, she refers to her subordinate as Debra F*cking Morgan which unfortunately shows tolerance for such unseemly behaviour - unfortunate because if you swear all the time you might well do so unintentionally with the public too.

Hearing a woman curse on TV is so much more apalling to me than watching somebody strap a nude person down to a table with shrinkwrap, get his throat sliced open while he's struggling in vain panic to stay alive, unemotionally watch the blood ooze across the floor, and hear the last gurrgles of his life spew from his now severed throat. I mean really, when is she going to learn some manners?
