  • I just got 2 rats and so far the are the best pets I have ever owned. They are so sweet and fun to watch,so easy to take care of. everyday I give them about and "1 hour" play time and it turns into so much longer lol. My family and I fell in love with these guys ;)

  • im getting a rat on thursday or today or wedenesday

  • Damm shes Hot

  • @PhiniGirl00 My first bit of advice would be to fix your grammar. :)

  • i want a pet rat but my mom doesn't like rats plz reply i need advise

  • @PhiniGirl00

they're clean, are smart enough to be able to recognize names/faces/tricks/etc., and are pretty low maintenance. a single rat needs it's pen cleaned around once a week, fresh water and food once a day or so, and at least an hour of entertainment a day.

  • these rats, i like...... wild fuckers, i don't like!

  • That is so cute!!! I had two rats myself, flippie and dupsie. I got them on christmas when they were only two weeks old!

  • How come my rats arent like that they are so shy almost 1 year and alway out:(

  • Wild and roof rats are still running on top of the white wood fence and eating the peanut butter every morning and night....they became aware of me and trusted in me.....once I walk out the yard door...they heard and followed me to where I leave the peanut for dinner.....they saw the people walking on the sidewalk and scared zooming back up into the hole....waited for them to leave and came back to me.... do not try that at home....oh well

  • my rat would bourow in my hair too she was sweet

  • my rat was a toe nibbler

  • @pskr28 my rats like to nibble my toes too

  • This is lovely! I've just got my first baby rats, how do you get them to come back to you when they are out of their cage?

  • @MissRatticusFinch u make a sound close to bruxing, look up bruxing, and then try to make the sound by smacking yer tounge against the roof of your mouth.

  • What kind of cage did you have? :O I. LOVE. IT :D

  • you have a rat in your house -.-

  • My wife and I got 2 females from a person who didnt know much about rats. We didnt realize one was preggers.. so a week later, got 11 babies.. we kept all the females, so now we have a total of 5 females. We love them a lot, just wish my dog wasnt so damn jealous =(

  • Cute!

  • wtf, my siamese rat is called Sushi too D:

    :3

  • Rats have a bad reputation, but are some of the most loyal and loving companions you will ever see.

  • Just aquired 2 male albino rats, they are soooooo much fun real personalities. But as I'm new to this how do I keep them entertained and also provide them with a rich life? any response appreciated xxxx

  • RAT ON CRACK

  • Cornwell, good writer :)

  • please tell me what is better

    male rats or female rats

  • @AbbyIsMyWeim All depends on your preferences. Females tend to be more hyper and playful but usually get tumors when they're older. Male rats are more reserved and snuggly but are more prone to fighting each other unless they get neutered.

  • @CHLOTHARIUS no rats are awesome

  • i mean shouders

  • i love rats sososo much i got one for my birthday.she is cute that you want sleep

with her she would lick me on the check when come home .she would even sleep on

  • I love playing with my ratties. Cute video.

  • cute

  • I wish I had pet rats again

  • My baby passed away yesterday. It was out of nowhere. We were playing and cuddling the night before and then the next morning she was...gone. I was in so much shock I couldn't even react. It took a while to set in, but when it did I was devastated. I kept telling her to wake up, but nothing happened. I really do miss her a lot. I wish rats didn't have so many problems. I already lose LightO and Jooli-ang this I couldn't bare to lose Kendal this year too... Sadly she's not doing well..

  • My rat liked to bite all cables it met.

  • 68 DISLIKES, WTF?!

  • haha i only have two boy rats and their names are leonardo and cornielius

  • I don't hate rats or mice, I actually like them but I never ever ever thought rats were, well, like this until I saw this video, they look so adorable and joyful, I just one some now!!

what are they biting? That thing that looks like a rock?

  • @pandazatthedisco They both actually make wonderful pets (I personally perfer rats though, but I do have three mice). Rats bond well with their owners and are very smart. If you get a pair of boys then you'll have great TV/cuddle buddies. Girls are great too, but they are more of explorers.

  • @EveryoneEatsShit

LMFAO.....Trolls should be stomped, burned, and eaten.

  • Wow....These people are down right acting like toddlers! Your Rats are beautiful.

Oh and like it or not FLEAS spread the Plague...Not rats...Ignorence must really be bliss for some people!

  • eeewwww thats nasty! kill that RAT!

  • @vinamel97 EEEWWWWW. A DUMBASS. KILL IT. :'D

  • poor streets rats

  • I just got rat. I called her Maisie. I'm looking on here for ANY information. I know what they can eat & what they should avoid (that was 1st job). Now just really want to know what toys i can giver her that are harmless but will entertain her.

  • @kinkyloki You should probably get her a friend. Also, one of those little, wooden wicker balls. My rats love tearing those apart.

  • I love this video!! I want a rat!!

  • cute Everything! the song the pets!

  • vere cool, i lake it

  • I LOVE RATS! I just HATE their life span..... I had mine for 3 years, it's just not enough! I'm put off getting more because of it. After seeing this clip, I want them back so much!! i used to play tug of war with mine......... aww, the memories....

  • Rats are clean, intelligent and dont bite, anyone who says otherwise is a badly educated moron, fancy rats are miles away from their wild cousins and anyone who mentions plague needs to grow the hell up, they are lovely animals I have five rats and adore them.

  • @Arachnaphillic got 14 now XD

  • @Arachnaphillic I agree. And also they are very very friendly and will always recognise their family members including the owner. My rat always escapes to me if I put her on someone else. Rats are awesome.

  • @kovigary I love it when I tell them "fingers toes's noses in" and they step away from the cage doors so I can close them, you can train them to, got mine coming when they are called by their names and when I say home they go in the cage all you need is ALOT of yogart drops.

Wild rats are like wolves where domesticate rats are like poodles utterly different creatures.

I LOVE this video this play time looks amazing.

  • @Arachnaphillic Well yeah my rat learned that if something crumbling it's feeding time and she always comes out and stands on her house looking at me "What am I getting?" I so love that.

  • @kovigary lol yep the rustle of packs is like dinner bell, have you tried wild berry yogart drops mine go NUTS for them.

  • @Arachnaphillic That and the Bubonic plague was caused by the bacteria in fleas from Asia. So dogs, cats, mice, gerbils and hamsters are as much to blame as rats. Yes people STILL own all of them and still frown upon rats :|

  • @Arachnaphillic That and the Bubonic plague was caused by the bacteria in fleas from Asia. So dogs, cats, mice, gerbils and hamsters are as much to blame as rats. Yes people STILL own all of them and still frown upon rats :|

  • @Arachnaphillic it is sheer ignorence on their part.....at one point I had 23.....down to 8 now but might consider having a litter from a silver female I have she is soooo perdy

  • @Arachnaphillic Do you have all 5 in one cage?

  • @VinceNF1488 yeah it is a liberta explorer cage two stories of epicness it is huge just google it XD

  • @Arachnaphillic Will this be to heavy to put in my bedroom?

  • @VinceNF1488 I would say rats are to loud for you to sleep and the cage is fairly heavy

  • @Arachnaphillic some rats do bite but most I've seen do cause they think my finger is a carrot or something. Though I've yet to see a domestic rat that's mean or anything short of adorable really

  • @Arachnaphillic :D my 8 week old dumbo rat bit the hell out of me for the first month, now hes lovley :)

  • @cobra9888 he must have had no handling as a baby and its RARE for a rat to be bitey

  • @Arachnaphillic i had some rats before but rats dont live so long :(

  • @MrLurre95 depends how well you care for them i had 2 a few years back and this is a perfect example we got a rat from a shop as a present a friend bought us he was the nicest pet i ever had and had a few babys about 1 year later he was only about 1 week old when we got him or 2 weeks old his son lived about 2-3 years dad lived 4-4,5 years so dependant if you find that amount long or short i find 4+ years quite a while :)

  • @Arachnaphillic fancy rats are clean true intelligent true bite....well they dont bite dependant on there mood and if they are scared i once walked past a cage at a friends house with a rat in it just walked past with my hand a little close and she bit quite hard i recall and ofcourse she was protecting her babys natural ofcourse and the one i have now more like nibbles then bites rats dont bite unless its self defence or PURELY on accident :P

  • I LOVE this animals!! <3 =)

  • Such adorable ratties ^_^ what was that thing they were playing with in the middle of the floor? It looks like a smooth river stone.

  • @B4urLIFE Just another case of narrowmindness.

  • This's amazing, now I wished I could have rats as pets, they seem so friendly and fun but I doubt I could ever train themm, well, probably one day. This's way too cute, I'm happy you take care of them ^^

  • Don't they breed and have little rats running around the house?

  • I used to have 2 domestic albino rats (Bigrat and Smallrat). They were the best pets I've ever had. The first half of their lives, they were kept in a large cage and taken out to play or to have baths.

One day, feeling experimental, I left the cage door open and just left them be for an entire day. After a day of good behavior, I decided to leave it like that for the night.

I later found out that they didn't need any potty training. They would only crap in the cage. Rats are damn clean.

  • @ORSUMfezbubble

Rats are more intelligent than dogs. They just don't show it in a way that an average person would normally relate to.

Wild rats prosper in a hostile world of humans through tough survivability, cunning and resourcefulness. Dogs prosper in the modern world because they have been bred through the ages to appeal to the human's maternal instinct (looking cute and desired as a pet).

  • im new to rats...should i start off with 1 rats or 2...

  • @mars8254 I suggest two rats, so they can clean each other's fur, and so they won't get lonely at night.

  • Omg How Adorable! This video cracks me up when i see them running around. I think im going to rat proof my room and let mine run and play I want to adopt a dumbo rat a rex rat and a bald rat <3 i think baldys are the cutest!

You should watch my video i made for my rats On my Channel. Its very adorable!

  • As I was watching this my rat started bruxing as he saw your rats lol.

  • I have a passion for all animals and have owned many different variety of pets and I have to say rats are my favorite. I liked them so much that I bred a litter of my own. By the time they were adults they were ALL house trained and came to me when I wistled for them. Today I have one young female rat, extremely playful, never bites, house trained in one day.She is also a free-range rat. All in all, rats are one of the easiest, most fun pets you can own. Although I still love dogs :)

  • every time i see sushi i think about my little cutiepie

  • i bloody love rats sooo much !

  • i want my rats to be so funny like yours:(

  • Man, I want rats!

  • Rohlan1990 that's just ignorant. Rats can be litter trained. I'm training my two baby boys right now, and they're catching on faster than any dog I've ever trained.

  • 3:15 is so cute!

  • Hi I was wondering if you reccommended male or female rats? I am in the process of getting my rat cage and stuff and was wondering! Thank you!

  • @breyerismythang223 , I would recomend both.. rats are very socialize creatures if you could you should get them both i would make sure they are you know fixed so they wouldnt have well.... baby rats .. unless u want them... but so if you were to chhoose only one i would say a female...but as i sayd a cage pal would increase the happieness of your pet rat.. but make sure ts the same species ...

  • Now they are well-loved rats. :-)

  • nice ^^

  • my rat always runs into a dark corner when I let him out.

  • cutest video ever <3

  • wanna be your rat =)

  • are there the same as the house rats or a diff. breed?

  • wow finaly a girl that likes rats i have two oreo and clyde

  • does the person know rat piss where ever they and crap and the piss can screw with you body

  • rock= rat noms?:) <3 cute!!

  • Beautiful

  • Whahaahahaha, EXTREMELY cute!!!

  • OMG! so cute :)

  • i think rats are adorable <3 my family thinks their gross or just 'vermin' -.- I'm gonna have to wait till after college until I can get a pet rat T-T

  • ur ratties are goofy haha they are cute! i have 3 boys and 1 girl :P my girl rat had babies with my oldest male rat, i kept two of their babies :) ofcoures i got the oldest male rat fixed so they can be together :) the babies are next on the list! i noticed that boy rats can also have control over their bladder after being fixed. and female rats sumtimes pee when they are in heat. so yea. its not only boy rats that pee and poop everywhere. i like ur ratties though :)

  • Rats are the best pets ever. They are playful, cute, and smart. People think their gross but i love em ^_^

  • I have two rats and they are house trained so they wont poo and pee everywhere. the only problem is one of them likes to hide in random places :P

  • aweh cute what were u feeding them

  • i love my riddy rats!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lovely video, i had rats too, too bad the last so short. Thanks for sharing.

  • what lovely little pet they play like a puppy .you have house trained them very good

  • Adorable rats and happy music!

  • How did you get your rats so tame!? I swear I've tried everything and my boys are still super jumpy, they're not afraid of me though but they're not very trusting yet... I've had them for about 3 months and they're only 4 months old.

  • At first I was thinking the rats were really cute and having fun, but then when the time hit 1:19 I really liked the cute girl more, your so fine you can play with me any time....

  • The rats playing was entertaining but I couldn't enjoy your video because of the horrible music. It seems this type of music has infected a great many videos on YouTube. Please change the music or leave it out completely.

  • Seems like they were all on ratnip ;P

  • obviously they are females XP or else you'd see huge nuggets! anyway. uh-oh, I'm getting boy rats soon! i didn't know they didn't have bladder control!

  • im getting rats!!! yay 2 girls super excited!!

  • shame they don't live longer they're like people

  • awesome video :D

  • oh my god your rats are awesome I got two two weeks ago and all they do is sleep XD

  • And how did you housetrain them? MIne only poop in their toilet, but pee here and there :P

  • They look so happy :D:D:D:D

  • Awesome video. I have 5 myself, and I don't know what I ever did before I had rats. They are such smart sweet little creatures.

  • i have two hamsters :P:)

  • thats ace, love rats

  • Rats make great pets! It's a shame people are so quick to pass prejudice! They are social intelligent animals who can learn! Very cute video!

  • Cool video.

    Thank you.

  • After workingw ith rats, I've really come to love their personalities. How did you go about house training them, out of curiosity?

  • music sucks

  • i have a question you may have an answer.

My rats are very fun an things, but they are afraid of everything, i tried to pet them they just ran away scared, and so on.... Do you have a solution ? plz reply

  • @plzuttaren You have to be very VERY patient. I saved all mine from being snake bait, put to sleep, etc, and they were all very timid when I got them. Just be very quiet around them, get them used to your smell. If you want to coax them out, try offering peanuts or fruits. Talk to them a lot, let them come to you, they will eventually. Good luck.

  • @msheppard91 agreed, they are awesome and worth the effort! But I wouldn't advise peanuts, they're not very good for them. One of mine was incredibly shy when I got her, but she will do almost anything for baby sweetcorn.. It's her weakness apparently! Try lots of things, but healthy ones, not too fatty x

  • @plzuttaren My rats were never shy or scared. I think maybe you should make them curious about their surroundings. Best thing is healthy(!) treats and things they can crawl though and under. They'll be encouraged to explore. And be patient. Don't go to them, let them come to you. Again; treats. If you're the source of something good, you can buy their affection. (Don't get 'm too fat, though!)

  • this is CUTE!

  • Rabits are better than mice XD

  • Do they need to be vaccinated?

  • my favorite movie

  • awww I miss my little ratties :[

haha they are so fun! and curious! If i had one id take it on my moped rides...

    :D

  • awful awful awful song, cute rats.

  • how do you house train a rat?

  • @iluvkyomeow give them a litterbox. Rats will use a litter box if its available and they know where it is. But i believe you need to buy a special litter that petstores have.

  • @xikies101 my friend gave her gerbils sand in a glass container and instead of rubbing in it, they used it forr a litter tray, is it roughly the same?

  • elles sont géniales :D !!!

  • How did you do that - housetrain them? I want to buy some rats, but I haven't figured out what I'm going to do about them eating the furniture, the cables and other stuff from the house, besides the problem with the pee and poo. I'd love to know how you handle that.

  • Aaaww, just too cute ^^

I also had two girls and they were also very energetic and jumped everywhere when I let them freely run around ;p

Really a great video with amazing filmed sequences - how did you make it to make close-up views and not let your camera eaten up by your girls? *lol* I also tried it but than my oldest one has stolen and pulled it under the coach... oh my goodness, it wasn't easy to persuade her to let the cam go XD

  • hi, im getting a hairless rat soon, but the store only has one. since they need to be in pairs, can i buy a furred one WITH the hairless? also do u have any name suggestions?

  • @poopandfrogs I have two rats and one of them is names Tara. It's A RAT backwards.

  • @poopandfrogs I've just read, that if you buy rats from "different families" they should grow up together, otherwise they kill one another.

  • @evimd Not true, they just have a process of introduction to go through.

  • @evimd

    Complete and utter lie.

You can get two adult rats from different family's and the correct introduction will be housed perfectly fine together.

  • @poopandfrogs

Yes you can, it shouldn't make any difference.

You just need to introduce them slowly on neutral territory, so no one is a threat to the other one. If you get two girls, they should just instantly bond, girl rats are good like that, boys are often like that too, but they can get a bit territorial, so beware.

Names? Uhm I have always wanted to call my girls Talia and Akera, I had a rat named Lilly, and for boys i like the nme Basil and Badger.

  • I had a rat named mouse too :D

  • oh that is so adorable and funny

  • @lindaadnil what treats do you use my little baby is really picky so i need a good kind

  • @Ijoch88 they dont pee or poo that much

  • 62 people hav no life

  • Do you breed rats or do you just buy them all they are all adorable haha lol i love the part at 2:33 to 2:36 theyre so energetic:D

  • @ljoch88 They were housetrained

  • @ljoch88 You're talking about males. These were females.

  • @ljoch88

I think you need to become more informed of rats, Before you go around and insult them.

Rats have the same intelligence as your average dog. So with correct training they have perfect control over their bladder thank-you very much, Just like toilet training a puppy.

If you are trying to insult them, please do it right, and in the mean time... Stfu.

  • @ORSUMfezbubble Can you get them to play fetch?

  • @buzzhawk

Indeed you can (: There are training videos from materofthemidgets or something where she makes videos that will teach you how to train your rats (: Look 'em up.

  • @ljoch88 rats are clean animals who can and do control their bladders. with very little guidance they housetrain themselves...so long as they always have access to a "potty". they have a bad reputation is all

  • @ljoch88 Rude >:(
