how do u hit ppl who r crouching? how do u know what moves have to b blocked hi?

as long as smeone is blocking, you cant go through them (although they will take small damage) unless u like cause them to stand and they dont block in time or you grab them. Just look at where the other character is on the screen and ull know if it is a high block or not. Like slides are low...but if they jump on you then usually its high unless they are trying to trick you. :) one of the advantages to sagat is that as a turtle character he can use high and low fireballs at varying speeds :D

Her flame kicks nullify Hadoukens....she has a lot of tools available. The dashing thunder knuckle is also pretty effective.

What I ask myself is are Seth and Sagat users happy when they win? Can they look themselves in the mirror with pride and say yes I'm actually good in SF4 and it's not the character? Just asking when I win with Zangief, Abel, and C. Viper I feel alive however the last time I used Sagat I felt like a dirty slore (slut-whore) soliciting for a win. Watching C. Vipers like this I feel like damn I must step my game up and this is why I play SF4.

Yes but my cousin who's 6 years old played SF4 for the fist time in his life. After 2 weeks of me training him with Seth he beat all my friends who casually been playing SF series for 7 years. Later on I get my cousin to use Sagat with the basics he not only beat my friends up some more they call him a genius whiz kid. I beat his ass but that is because I play religiously. It is because of my cousin I looked into tiers.

im a viper user too but the matchup vs sagat is pretty decent u can avoid a lot of his uppercuts but against honda thats a nightmare

That's fine and dandy and I don't doubt that but you're the exception not the norm. Also I don't use any characters with Projectile and High Priority anti airs. I've grown out of that after SF2 and Alpha. Just saying

your friends need to improve then. viper in my opinion is pretty damn good character even though she has a lot of shortcomings.seth is probably one of the shittiest char in sf4 so when they win u should give them some respect.

I said my friends are casual players so you aint hurting my feelings I also said in my first post I use Viper also she is for the hardcore SF4 fans she gets hit it takes like all her energy. As far as Seth being a shitty character his advantages out weigh the disadvantages example all though his moves don't do much damage all I got do is spam the fireball keep distance with the Dhalsim & Chun Li impersonation when you jump do uppercut and if your not a good player you lose. Just saying.

I can't respect anyone who uses Seth if they had a pair they'll use like Dhalsim, Fuerte, Guile or Akuma I respect those players not a Seth user. If you use Seth and lose I think you should put the control down and hang your self. If you use Viper she has a steep learning curve you just can't come in and use her and expect to kick ass. Seth you can come in and expcet to kick ass.

im a viper user and i have to say viper completely destroys seth and yeah seth has a low learning curve but he is so shit.hes like near dan and sak in tiers probably.if u lose to noob seth consistantly and your a veteran viper user then u better switch mains. if u think viper has low health seth has like a fraction of that. but if your talking casual play i gues u can say seth is cheesy but its so easy to beat him if u know even a little about sf4

Just because someone plays Sagat doesn't mean they are a "cheap winner." Im still not good at SF4, but I am training with Sagat because I like his personality/background story the most, and I prefer (yes, prefer XD) his slow, but strong moves. Mago plays as Sagat, and he's incredible...but I think it has more to do with HIM, rather than Sagat. Once you reach a certain level in anything, what you know is what matters.

oh yea...forgot...since im new to SF heres an example..when i started playing guitar, ppl could easily be better sounding than me because they had better guitars, amps, and distortion. I was taking private lessons tho. I also played mainly acoustic. Anyway, after 5 yrs of private lessons and 8 yrs of guitar, even tho i still stick to acoustic, even if I use a really crappy guitar, and someone else uses a really good one/mods...99.9% of the time, ill still sound better. ^w^

Sagat's harder to master however, I've been using him longer... used Viper a couple of times before I got proficient with Sagat, I use her often now and now am almost on par with her as I am with Sagat.

it won't work out because u need easy characters to play to bring in the cascual fans. The reason Virtua Fighter didn't get as popular because it's not a noob friendly game. Viper is for the harcore gamers

to use them effectively, all the characters require skills. However you seem to be talking about all the bk's online that pick ken and do SRK repeatedly. If they're beating you, then maybe you should work on your skills, but the game is very skill demanding.
