Secondly, they were trying to force her out of her home "for her own good." She was merely showing them she had food, water, and a means to protect herself. She was NOT holding the firearm in a threatening manner, and the police had no business tackling her.
This video leaves out that she stood there talking to the police with the revolver in hand (in a non-threatening manner) for quite some time before they tackled her. It wasn't that they tackled her as soon as they saw the revolver. They tackled her because she was refusing to leave her home.

If I was doing anything illegal I wouldn't say a word, but everything I have ever done in relation to firearms is legal...which now makes me think...is there a "law" that states you cannot be convicted of something in the past if a new law is enacted that is against what you once did? And it depends on how the law is worded. Normally a "grandfather clause" protects those would otherwise be made criminals by the passing of a law. For instance, they raised the driving age here from 16 to 18... but if you were 16 or 17 and had a license, you could continue to drive. However, you can also create a law that is "ex post facto" (retroactive) that applies to past, present, and future actions.

the Patriot act is just the tip of a much larger iceberg. I can not remember the exact citations, but the Patriot Act, coupled with one of two other little laws currently in place, and you have a recipe that allows the federal government to do anything it wants, under the guise of homeland defense.
Unless they repeal a good bit of this stuff it will only be so long before it is used, and abused.

We have a right to bear arms. So if police are going to attack anyone bearing an arm without question, then obviously it's the police who need to be corrected, not the citizens.
And the courts have ruled that police are not our protection.
Secondly, they were trying to force her out of her home "for her own good." She was merely showing them she had food, water, and a means to protect herself. She was NOT holding the firearm in a threatening manner, and the police had no business tackling her.

This video leaves out that she stood there talking to the police with the revolver in hand (in a non-threatening manner) for quite some time before they tackled her. It wasn't that they tackled her as soon as they saw the revolver. They tackled her because she was refusing to leave her home.
And, again, the police are most certainly NOT our protection at any time. The courts have ruled this repeatedly. If they have a problem with seeing citizens bearing guns, then they need to be corrected.

People have the right to bare arms, but there are reasonable restrictions. One is that only people of sound mind may do so. I'm not saying she was not of sound mind, but the fact is, many people wo are not of sound mind, begin acting in very much the same way she was acting, just before they use their weapon on somebody. Pulling it out of a pocket and having it in hand, showing it. There is no reason to do that unless you intend to use it. Police don't wave it around.

When they take your 2nd amendment rights like this, the rest will follow soon after. The 2nd amendment is not only for the protection of yourself, your family, and your property, but also for the preservation of a free state. It is astonishing and repulsing how the law enforcement officers stomped on the God-given rights of these people to defend themselves and allowed criminals and looters to have free reign over the defenseless.
