  • Yes Prease

  • not even in hd.

  • Is this spaceshipthree?

  • wow what a waste of money,my god, lets clean up the earth of pollution, hunger, need i go on, and then take a beautiful look, as people, that may afford to look at what they may help to create

  • @maidmoira All good goals.

    But space is our future.

And good on guy's like Branson are leading the way.

  • that would be so awesome.

  • its an optamistic and exciting possibility for us all however surely the first disapointment would be the endless stream of space junk that we have already polluted the immediate space environment with would really spoil the view

  • They could do a Mars mission for £44 billion, a 6 month mission to establish a small habit and temporal base camp. That is awesome, they should go to Mars!

  • @DarkTyrannoRex it would only be awsome if you were actually going.

  • 2:58 What if the rocket does not turn on? O_O

  • Captain: "This is your captain speaking...and on the left you will see planet earth...erm...no on your right...no wait a minute, its to your rear, no starboard, up, down, forward, in front of you now, below, between your legs and around and to your left"

CoPilot: "Geez, I hope all the passengers are good at Yoga!"

  • there was an international study released recently. the impact of this business will affect global climate by dramatically increasing the exhaustion of smoke in the upper layers.. 8)

  • @Chisuz I don't know where you read that but it's bullcrap.

The "spaceship" fires it's rocket motor for only 85 seconds & the impact in practically nil.

It will not affect global climate.

  • 5:00 please turn off your virgin mobile as it may interfere with our onboard navigation systems. LOL

  • 1:27 sounds like a fire alarm.

  • It's a PRIVATE company. The benefit? Sir Richard Branson will make a penny penny off your foolish ass. Right now - we have ASTRONAUTS drinking their own urine in the hopes of perfecting a water purification system. Ya know - so many in poor countries might have fresh drinking water one day. But hey - YOU prefer PRIVATE ENTERPRISE where all PROFITS go to one man. How very foolish and short sighted.....

  • @JasonFontaine oh shut up. go picket it with shirley phelps

  • @ihateartt just don't be a fool...that's all....

  • @JasonFontaine Got PMS much?

  • @JasonFontaine very short sighted off you to not realise that this would push down the cost of space travel in the long run. Also where does it state that space travel and exploration should be government run ONLY. Richard Branson company is not the only company working on privatised space travel, he just the closest one to it at this point of time. Also with reduce costs by pioneering this technology more countries can get a space program and benefit from space orientated research.

  • @ZombiesAteMyKat Well...how did so much R&D happen with flight travel in the first place? Something has to be commercially viable as well for the idea to really take off!! :))))

  • i dont understand why you must show us animation video? why not you fly the ship to galaxy?

  • does anyone in earth ever fly to other planet before?

  • projects like this will make everyday space travel a reality, not to mention economically viable. Well done Richard!!(and team) ;)

  • @ChemicalMikeUK

Exactly what are they going to do?

  • @jizzmonger you are kidding.., right?

  • @ChemicalMikeUK

What purpose does it serve other than to waste money serving as an advertising platform?

Why doesn't old Branson just buy rides from the Russians or Chinese?

  • @jizzmonger look outside the box rather than burying your head in one, and you might see the wood thru the trees! :)

  • @ChemicalMikeUK

Outside the box is to the Mars where the United States needs to go.

So for Branson is wasting millions of dollars attempting to give joy rides to nowhere.

  • @jizzmonger once again.., look outside the box rather that being stuck in one. but i understand where your coming from (and in fairness to you, its quit common;) when your stuck in a box and that box is the only world you know, than its no wonder you feel like you cant escape it. (kinda like leaving the earth) peace my brother : )

  • @jizzmonger yes buts it Bransons own millions of dollars. Him spending that money is not going effect the United States going to mars or not. That be the US government willing to commit the resources or not, wouldn't hold your breath as they already cancelled the return to the moon in 2018 I've heard. Also branson not buying rides of russia and chinese as he trying to push the cost of getting into orbit down so more people can enjoy space travel.

  • I hate commercials

  • this is pure jinious

  • how to they plane to get us in the seat while floating?

  • how do you think NASA do it.

  • seat belts?

  • lol wouldnt be that hard

  • amazing

  • that's beast!

  • wow

  • Fine let the rich pay for the development and make it cheaper and more reliable and safer

  • it has no goverment funding whatsoever

  • Good thing Virgin Galatic is a private industry, so they're paying for it not you. Besides I doubt your old enough to even vote let alone pay tax dollars.

  • @EndeavourLaunch

Yeah the taxpayers would be pretty pissed at this waste of money and resources.

  • @jizzmonger It's a private company... Branson's spending lots of money to make this possible.

  • it's not government run so the taxpayers are not paying for this

  • @BigTEntertainmnet wrong !! The US gov is putting up millions for the SPACEPORT on the ground !!

  • Imo, The price 'today' seems fairly high for people these days, but - thinking back to when planes were first invented, and a packet of crisps were considered alot of money at the price of 10p?

I think in the years to come, this will just be like flying to Spain :]

    Well, not quite.

  • What do you expect it to be the same as a plane ticket. It used to be 20 million just a year ago, plus a long long wait.

  • I think when this came so cheap going a lot of people into the space

  • Yes the price is now 200000$ but in around 7 years ist the ticket price only around 25000$ to 30000$. 25000$= 19235 euro. 30000$=23082 euro

  • How much g-force would this spacecraft pull? this will most certainly be an experience of a lifetime.

  • @ellhnas007 about 4g less on reentry.

  • LOL

You are now free to float around the cabin

    That would be awesome

  • Do you remember me? MSG me on m.s.n. ID is in my profile.

O_o You're right! lol Doesnt even look like a girl.. XD s9

  • I hear a lot of headless things, but to bring in this "white power" is plain stupid. Racism in space this time then??

  • when they start making other things in life like living on a other planet this is gona be airplanes.."yea i gotta catch a flight today..going to mars its an 16 hour flight" lol smh shit is crazy

  • Yep pretty crazy right?

  • 200,000 dollars for 2.5 hours? Is it really worth it??

  • Well, no... :(

But it would be LUSH if they could somehow make it cheaper!

  • hehe underpantswedy, it WOULD be a once in a life time experience, but ya it is an astronomical price for an astronomical new experience, not somthing the everyday person can afford at that price, wonder how much of the 2.5 hours you would get to float around the cabin? and how much of it would just be the nerve racking speed of sound, ride

  • I had my doubts about it at 1st but tbh im definatly saving up for this! i mean its like a one in a life time experiance! =]

  • im so pissed off i was born this early in time lol

  • @DirteyApe Well...I guess your younger than R. Branson ...

  • @DirteyApe why? it wont be long till this will happen. it will just cost you ALOT of money so get saving and you can go as a very old man ;)

  • It's a good start to privatizing space.

  • Well, "white people doing it again", being white is not the same as being clever.. not any other eighter. It depends on other things.. Back to daddy, back to school, 123 -go

  • if any of you have watched the Bucket List....this is definately something i wanna do before i die

  • Sir Richard may be a nutter but so were the Wright Bros. SO SHADAFACAP.

  • sir richard please please tell me were the fuck you get your WEED or galatic COCAINE from and how much is it.

Do i have to sign a contract to go to mars to buy some from virgin active

If i do is there any small print i will not see ontill 10 years later down the line.

Richard your such a cool hippy you are always high on somthing please tell everyone what it is because because we all want to know what makes you such a wanker..

  • are u karl pilkington?

  • London to New York in one hour with space time of 20 mins the rest in take off and landing. Doesn't leave a lot of time for the in flight catering and taking a piss will be interesting. Happy Days:)

  • Hey Flyberius!!!! Do u even ever think about it?

  • That is Sweet!!!!!!!!! I'd go in a heart beat.

  • Too weird for me.

  • As amazing as being in space would be, I have to wonder how worthwhile this would be.

The ULTIMATE experience would be a spacewalk, and I know they don't do those without highly trained astronauts and only in emergencies usually, but damn it'd be so much better than staring out of a small window.

A day in the ISS would also be awesome, but an hour in that thing is iffy.

Either way, I'd take whatever I could get.

  • so what is the point? will it save mankind?

  • Bringing pleasure to people.

Contributing to Gross Domestic Product, ie, contributing hugely to the economy and creating wealth.

  • this could also transport people faster than a jet aircraft.

  • @fstop100 It will change your perspective of life on earth...this is what will change mankind..changing your perspective or view.

  • seems unsafe to me

  • man i would want to take a ride SOOO bad...

but at $200,000!?!?! *sigh* maybe when i'm old it'll be cheaper ;)

  • This is mind blowing....Richard Branson has seen the future.....I think this world is really going to change in the next 20 years....From Commercialized Space Travel,to Cars that Drive themselves, to Human Genetics....im proud to live in this time of uncertainty and discovery. Im proud to live in the generation that realizes new frontiers of Mankind. I just can't wait to see how this crazy story unfolds.

  • also, i suspect the whole 'please return to your seats' part of the video wont quite be so smooth as this depicts. It would take longer to get people back into their seats and secured than the amount of time available for the trip.

  • "astronauts" with NASCAR-style sponsor ads on their jumpsuits. how classy.

  • The pilot is at the front of the shuttle, behind that wall with the clock's and gizmoes

  • No pilot?

  • say, they don't use Spok Trek thrusters version 3, they bah blah blah shut up nerds.

  • how did those fins steer the plane in space?

  • They don't. It uses RCS thrusters for space maneuvers. The wings are for the ascent and descent.

  • lame ass shit

  • Yeah.. harvesting the solar system for resources and ensuring the survival of the species, who cares about that shit?

  • lol. You really are stupid. Mind you, change does scare the intellectually challenged.

Pluck up son, maybe one day you can get a job sweeping up the floors of one of their many, and I use this next word in the cheesiest context possible, 'spaceports'.

  • Great advert, if it is an advert? great scheme too, if it works out then in the near future people cud fly to space for the price of a plane ticket, but at the moment no one can afford it, which is a big shame.

  • No one can afford it? Its $200k or £100k. I'd say a huge amount of people can afford that. It's very cheap for a space ticket.

  • Richard Branson could run over your dog, gut shoot your woman and rape your kids and the cops would call you a lier and you would be jailed for defimation of caracter.

but if he makes nasa look silly he will be dog food :)

  • but he is making NASA looking silly. He is trying to make space travel affordable to normal people like us

  • Normal people that can afford $200.000.

  • yeah but that's only the beginning. In time it's gonna be affordable to both you and me

  • I hope so :p

  • yeah me to

  • yeh is for the fucking rich it does not even cost that for the fuel 1000 times over

  • It's supposed to drop to 100,000 after the initial batch of tickets, and in a year or two after they start the program up then it'll be around $20,000, if what they say is true.

  • like it !

  • Virgin Galactic is a nice name for a zero gravity gangbang shuttle

  • personal aim in life "be first man to practice karma sutra in zero gravity"

  • Because orbiting takes way more fuel.

  • Why don't they make those flights orbital?

  • Haha, they're going to call the customers "astronauts"? That will be totally shitting on the "-naut" part of it. It would be like calling airplane passengers "aeronauts." And will they know all customers' cellphone providers? :P

  • thats good but looks like the surface of the ship is thin but its good

  • Fake, but good.Because of lack of money, I won't be a tourist-astronaut

  • Coffee on the moon anyone? Ah yes, moon tourism is not far off.

  • unfortunately

  • i wonder when the first murder in space will be

    Human to human i mean)

  • Burt Rutan.

  • Guys, this is just the beginning. This was like the days when you could go to the state fair and fly in a biplane for twenty bucks. A couple of decades later, and you could fly coast to coast (if you didn't mind stopping Kansas for refueling). Three decades after that, hello Europe and Hawaii.

  • great point

  • lots of people will, want to go into space, but just where will they go except Earths micro gravity.

  • ok and then what? all ready for space and no place to go? no nebula tour? and what about solar radiation?

come fry with us has no purpose in these times with alien coverups still in effect, take your trip on dec 23 2012

  • yeah me too. I think that there will be lots of people that would want to go to space.

  • This will cost too much to run, and not too many people will pay that kind of money just for fifteen minutes of space-flight.

The costs will be too high to maintain and it will shut down, just like concorde did. At least concorde was realistic, however

  • I disagree. There are a lot of people who'll pay $200,000 to fly into space: my day job is just ordinary IT work, but I could afford that if I wanted to.

More than that, they're talking about getting the cost down to $50,000 over the next ten years... if you saved $5,000 a year over that ten years, you'd be able to buy a ticket at the end of that time, plus they'll have flown so many flights that any safety issues should have long been resolved.

  • i think they would have enough people willing to do it for $200,000 but $50,000 i bet 3/4 of the worlds population would give it a go

  • Like half the worlds population is in poverty, so they wouldnt.

  • i think thats really all about how long the whole thing lasts. id rather spend my money on somehting else like a badass car.

  • This is probably targeted at people how already have a number of bad-ass cars

  • I must get a ticket. Then I will make a leftie powered engine for it, and let monkeys be the pilot. Chickens and Dogs can have free seats.

  • Well I hope SpaceShipTwo won't only carry albinos like in the video.

  • hey pobobly ell u o hi beoe he lih

  • I's beautiful!!!! But I hate to be practical or anything but wouldn't there be a lot of throwing up and other bodily needs happening for some people in that situation.

  • I think there will be a fast and some anti naseau medication. And we all know how astronauts like their diapers now dont we? I have signed up with Branson to do this already.

  • WOW !

  • jmbrock, I know how you feel, please can someone also tell me where to get a downloadable version of this video and also the promotional video posted by the same person

  • Hey, do you know where I can get this video as a downloadable file? I'm looking at making a music video to it.

  • It's a bit of a no-no, but you can save youtube videos at Keepvid(dot)com. I don't think Youtube has a sense of humour regarding keeping their videos though! :)

  • awsome!!!!
