GREAT song. one of his last, and they say it is his last one. you might want to check out sam brown's rendition of this on the george harrison tribute concert a year after he died. she stole the whole show (from paul mccartney, ring starr, eric clapton, jeff lynne, tom petty, and many others.
@wweecwcollin I have read different versions on the recording of this song. Some say George did the guitar solo, some say he wasn't able to, so Jools Holland got a session guitarist to do a George-style solo. Only Dhani and Holland know for sure, and they aren't saying.
That's it isn't it? Awesome balls to the walls vocal from a guy who had little left. Awesome track, and Sam Brown killed it (in a good way) at the concert for Geroge a year later.
@cettina85 pinklady3724 wrote that Jools Holland sang it (Horse to the Water), but it was Sam (Samantha) Brown who sings it in the concert for George. Jools Holland plays piano on the song (both George's version and the concert for George version). Samantha Brown does sing a terrific version in the concert for George.
@aBeatleFan4ever oh dear... all these months I've been under the impression that it was Jools Holland... I had looked online to try to find some of 'her' music, &hadn't found any vids of 'her' singing either... lol... now I see why. I'm an idiot! I had watched the concert and only remember them introducing JH. *sigh* so it's thanks to Sam Brown I'm in love with the song! I'll look her up instead :) Thanks!!! :) sorry for the wrong info I'd given!
@pinklady3724 I have the CONCERT FOR GEORGE on CD. I didn't see this song on it. I never heard this before. What concert are you talking about? Amazing he still played that good and chose such cheerful music so close to the end. I wish I could hear the lyrics a little better.
Some of your George's draws are awesome. The one at 2.59 creates the impression to be stared by him.
I've always thought that he had the most beautiful, enigmatic face i ever seen and, personally, i'm excited every time i try to draw his face. Thank you for this fine work
George seems like the kind of guy that would make his last song go under another person's album. always living for others.

This is correct. He only sang, he didn't do anything else.

Sam Brown has an awesome voice with so much soul. She is also the daughter of one of George's best friends Joe Brown.

@cettina85 You can find Sam's music on Amazon.com. This was George's last vocal track, but was unable to play the guitar. Too ill.
