What I fail to understand is part of the 2010 stipulations for the new teams was they had to prove they could self finance the team for the entire season without sponsorship if they failed to get any. They had to PROVE the money was available, Lotus & Virgin did it, Campos/ HRT kinda did it, Sauber is running ok without any sponsors... USGP had Youtube as a sponsor so where did the money go???

Prodrive should have got the place instead of usf1. How could they raced in F1 when all the teams are based in Europe. Lotus where going to have two bases, now they going to have one. USF1 was going to be another Lola F1, remember what happened there.
Well, I was certain they weren't going to be competitve, and I thought they would make it to the grid and at least struggle through 1 season.....but to never even have a completed car!? give me a break, what a fucking disgrace. The whole thing did seem fishy, all the interviews they did with the staff, and the tours of the facility were just strange, there didn't seem to be much going on, and nobody had much to say about anything when they were asked questions, i guess I shoulda seen it coming.
God what the hell have they been doing ? They've been in development for 2 years (i think) and they're still not ready. They where meant to be on of the few new teams that where guaranteed to be on the grid. Lotus have had six months and they've built their car and got some testing out of it so I honestly don't understand what USF1 have been doing for TWO years.

true. but compare USF1 to the other completely new teams joining the grid in 2010. Virgin and Lotus for example. they had less time than USF1 and are making much more progress. (crash tested the whole car, signed experienced and established F1 drivers, confirmed major sponsor deals, etc)
I'm really worried that there hasn't been some sort of announcement on when the car will be revealed. Hopefully they will say something within the next couple of weeks.

All that time and money to have only produced a nose cone. Yep they did need a bit more time didn't they. Well at least they are consistent with all other U.S car manufacturers.

Prodrive should have got the place instead of usf1. How could they raced in F1 when all the teams are based in Europe. Lotus where going to have two bases, now they going to have one. USF1 was going to be another Lola F1, remember what happened there.

Well, I was certain they weren't going to be competitve, and I thought they would make it to the grid and at least struggle through 1 season.....but to never even have a completed car!? give me a break, what a fucking disgrace. The whole thing did seem fishy, all the interviews they did with the staff, and the tours of the facility were just strange, there didn't seem to be much going on, and nobody had much to say about anything when they were asked questions, i guess I shoulda seen it coming.

God what the hell have they been doing ? They've been in development for 2 years (i think) and they're still not ready. They where meant to be on of the few new teams that where guaranteed to be on the grid. Lotus have had six months and they've built their car and got some testing out of it so I honestly don't understand what USF1 have been doing for TWO years.

@SuperAguriF1DUDE they've only had a factory about 6 months themselves. So the 2 years is not correct. They might have been planning the team for the last 2 years.. Not very well I might add :(.

Why? Look at Phil Hill, Dan gurney, Marco Andretti. If anything, American's should screw NASCAR and Indy racing, and do more F1 stuff.

It would be mind bending for them not to use JV as one of the drivers. Not many world champions out there that are alive and looking for work.... oh yeah and capable / fit / smart / calm .....and what the hell.... North American too!

this will be one big embarrassment. its less than 2 weeks till testing starts and they dont even have assigned drivers. plus on top of that windsor admits that they will probably have to resort to rookie pay-to-drive drivers. how is a team, which is starting from scratch supposed produce a competitive car if they dont have experienced drivers.
i will be surprised if this team even makes it to the first GP let alone produce any results. will be fun to watch windsor's face though

the first year for any sports team presents itself with all kinds of problems and it isnt until over time that a team can actually make a name for itself.

true. but compare USF1 to the other completely new teams joining the grid in 2010. Virgin and Lotus for example. they had less time than USF1 and are making much more progress. (crash tested the whole car, signed experienced and established F1 drivers, confirmed major sponsor deals, etc)
i am not comparing USF1 to Ferrari or Mclaren.
