a guy that lives behind me gave me one of these. where can i get a controller and charger for it? he broke the throttle of the controller and i doubt he still has the charger
@megacarl87 Yep. There should be a post on the bottom of each elevator (rudervator?) pointing downwards. One rubberband should be stretched from one post to around the front of the V-tail and back to the other post. That should pull it down for you. Of course, trim once it's installed.
Great video! I just bought a second hand version of this plane and one of those HK keychain cameras which I plan to mount. Where on the plane did you mount your camera?
It takes about 2 to 4 hours of charging with the AC charger (U.S. flavor,120 V AC). The AC charger only gets the battery packs up to around 80% - 90% charge. I would top off the packs with the DC charger that came with the plane. As far as flight time is concerned, I was never much of an endurance flyer. I was always battling wind or interference so flights over 5 minutes felt like an eternity to me (still-it was great fun). I think flights of around 10 minutes is probably normal.
nice vid, cam is very smooth. did u need a more powerful motor because of the weight of the camera. i am considering buying one of these. (plane). it will be my first. any tips on it would be great. thanks
Thanks for the comment. I used a stock Aerobird with no upgrades. it's a pretty good plane to start out with because it's not too fast or unstable. Learning control of the plane while it's at any orientation would be the goal. It's not the best when it comes to control but it's a lot of fun. Only tip I have is get at least one spare battery pack and maybe a wall charger. I would recommend getting one (or something similar) and giving it a go. Keep your wings level until you get altitude!
Nope. It was suggested to me that the battery connectors had become worn from repeated connecting / disconnecting. I replaced my connectors but it still happens... at that field. I think here's some wireless device in those townhouses that's stomping on my frequency. You may want to check your battery connector anyway.
the weird thing about that is my dad has an aerobird that hit a huge tree at about a year ago. i see the areobirds suddenly liked to run into big trees at the time...
It's a Sunrich Technologies eDVR 5 in 1. I don't think they make them anymore but you can still find them (or something equivalent) on the aution sites "New in Box" for about $120. (US)
i bought a aerobird, 10 seconds after the launch my control box lost range, the plane flew away on full power and got lost forever.?. :(

Do you have to put rubber bands on the tail? I cant get the tail to move down.

I just put it on the side of the fuselage as close to the center of gravity as possible... with duct tape!

Thanks Simon,
The plane was fine. The make these things pretty durable - or at least durable enough to survive one of my landings/crash!
