It is nearly 100% male because 1) women don't apply for that job because it is hard manual labor, outdoors, dangerous and typically off-hour 2) road projects can not afford to pay women the same rate for less work.

jobs are salary, commission, hourly and there are hybrid types that make up a combination of those. The wage gap doesnt adress what type of jobs those are that women are getting paid less than men are.

That is the number of days that men need to work (excluding Jan 1) to sustain the same number of workplace deaths that women do for the year.
