This video was shot by London Transport for training purposes and to study the results on a controlled accident. There were several cameras all around and inside the bus, to see which seats were more at risk on the upper deck. It was shot in Swindon over a weekend and trains were stopped during the test.
This was staged in Swindon Town, Wiltshire. My home town. It was done because despite very obvious warnings lorries and buses keep on hitting it. It now has the title 'Most Hit Bridge in the UK!'
it happens about 3 times a year here in gateshead, the council put signs up that flash a message when a vehicle is too high...........yep its never worked

It was a test - done deliberately on a closed road. Note the traffic lights covered up & man in hi-viz.
