  • I've never heard so much vocalization in a gongfu set. Admittedly, I have little familiarity with crane style. Pretty good performance with the pressure of her school and instructor watching.

  • Yes, good job.

  • nothing wrong with any of the movements, it just doens't seem like you've quite found the spirit of the swords yet. It'll just take time. Not enoguh gung in the swinging motions either. Really Black belt is a signal that you've entered the gate and are ready to learn. good job...

  • It's not "drunken" Crane, just "Crane"... "Hok Ying Kuen" in Cantonese... "Joi" is the word for drunken...

  • I guess in China you'd get hit by sifu's stick for that performance but in USA.. you get black belt. ^^

  • I'll bet she's getting a black sash(Chinese), not a black belt(Japanese).Your right except a black sash doesn't represent the same thing as a black belt in Japanese martial arts. A black sash is truly signifying the begining of your learning. When you have completed the basics and basic forms, and are ready to learn on a higher level.

  • The truth about sash is to keep your pants together back in the old days.

  • Or choking people ;)
