  • nun, nicht schlecht gesungen, intonation, naja, aber keine phrasengestaltung, wo dynamik? und das klavier spielte scarlatti ;-)

  • As an Organist I tend to appreciate when Fauré's original is respected but High Kudos to their Pianist who does a solid and sensitive job and high appreciation tio the Conductor for choosing to do it en Français instead of English Translation as too many «big time» American choirs have done.

  • Each rendition of true music is unique, and must be revered for its blessed flavors. If all music were studio perfect, how bland this planet would become! Thank God for courage and practice, individuality and worth. Thank God for this most lovely pianist and great choir.

  • this seems to be a different version of the piece that my choir is performing. a great piece, but the tempo seems to drag a bit? Anyone agree or could it be just the different version? Also the men seem to overpower the women a bit, it's the opposite in my choir. Still a beautiful piece.

  • Soothing, beautiful music by the choir and well played by an accomplished pianist, Se-won Kim.

  • Les asiatiques ; Ils ont le respect d'une oeuvre .

  • They actually sound pretty good. Our adult choir of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Miami will be singing this song on Saturday.

  • They got Asians in Texas? I did not know this.

  • look at "Maîtrise de Nîmes, cantique de Jean Racine"

  • It may be difficult to sing in French.

  • I love the piano arrangement for this song. It's beautiful. I used to play and I loved playing it and singing this song in choir.

  • I love this piece. And it's a beautiful performance.

  • We were working on this peice and we didn't even sing it..i was pretty disappointed.

  • This piece of Fauré is wonderful. But how these people sing. Just bad. Timing is awful and they have a really bad intonation. It's a pity that there is just the pianist which can do her job well.

  • @lorel3i And the fact that it's a piano providing accompaniment when there's an organ console to the right of the choir is pretty indicative of the poor overall musical leadership here.

  • @marquischadier Have you ever thought about the possibility that the pianist does NOT play organ, or the possibility that there was not available for rehearsal, or the concert?

  • One of the most beautiful ethereal pieces in musicif it has organ accompaniment. No offense to the piano players sincere effort, but the piece is totally fouled by the inexplicable use of the percussive piano. A music director who attempts to perform this piece with a piano should be permanently banned from the music profession.

  • @sperryism I totally disagree. The most beautiful performance of this piece I've ever heard was sung by my brother's honor choir and the piano that was used sounded absolutely gorgeous. It was a restored Steinway and they are pretty much the best on the market. The choir also took it slower which added to the beauty of it

  • @sperryism Has anyone told you to calm your faggot mouth recently

  • Timing is awful. Too much change in dynamics. Awesome piece though. I sang this for two years in the college choir

  • I'm about to play this piece with my chorus

  • Idyllic...DIVINE!!! I do love! Ô Jesus, forgive us our sins!

  • 15 éve nem hallottam! Úúgy hiányzott!!!

    Ez a legszebb a világoon!!

  • bof

  • feh...flat tenors...@#$@

  • I loved singing this song in HS choir.

  • I have been dong choir for 7 years and this is by far my favorite song to sing EVER, the alto part actually has a melodic sound to it and my choir sounds amazing singing this song, it's sooo beautiful

  • i know, ive been singing in choir for about 7 years too... and this is one of the prettiest songs ive sang. Im soprano but I really love the alto part as well,

  • We sang this song for the Canadian Rocky Mountain Festival in Banff. I wish we sounded like this choir, but we only have 4 bass, 5 female tenors, and a bunch of altos and sopranos! I love singing the soprano part!

  • beautiful!!!!! i just printed the sheet music out and sang along to the entier thing!

  • this the best recording

    of this on youtube

  • Yes, this is a great performance, but saying it's best is saying too much. Such a compliment loses value because it claims too much.

  • thats why on youtube

  • love this piece, we did it as four part female, 1st and 2nd sopranos, 1st and second altos...oh when the altos opened in the beginning! favorite, favorite, favorite!

  • Never the same w/o basses

  • w/o basses idk

    i love the bass part

  • omg this piece always gets me!!!
