Actually, it's very unlikely that Izmir would try to buy the BIE delegate from the United States since the USA hasn't been a member of the BIE since 2002... and such a delegate doesn't exist.

İzmir didnt loose Expo,EXPO lost İzmir!What a pity to them.They missed a great oppurtunity to create a better world in 2015 with izmir!Also we see Milan deceived all the delegation with silly skills illegally.That showed How gentil Italians are.Also the delegation of some countries left us alone althoug they promised to vote 4izmirMaybe the pearl(İzmir) chose to hide itself this time despite passion of public on expo but when izmir will be back,it will create a serious HURRICANE OVER THE WORLD!
I ve never been there but I am sure Milan is a beautiful city. I had many Italian friends, they are all very friendly people.
But isn't it better to give chance to other cities to come to the same level. Isn't it selfish to have all the events in the same cities every year.
As a Turkish person, was borne in Istanbul. i love all the cities in the world. They are all have their own beauties. One can be poorer or has less history but None is more beautiful then the other.
