this is great tool but i have only one problem with it and with all the tutorial because no one has never show how to record loopmash into cubase i ve been trying to to record in cubase since 2009 i still cant do it.. can you please help me out..
Hello I can not see the loop mash or anything else under the VST Instrument, I can only see HALionOne. I do not know why I can not find anywhere, can you please help me? Is it an update you have to download or should you buy it? :D
Hello. I am new to home studio building. I have just bought Cubase 5. Does it come with LoppMash, or I have to buy the LoppMash seperately? thanks in advance
one important thing which caused me problems for a while was the fact that when you go through your loop/sample library on your hard drive you have to check the box that is all the way to the right of your files to select them from the list. The box will turn red and you will see the contents of the folders.
No this is not a beat creation tool but once you make your beats in Reason or Fruity loops or whatever Loopmasher is a great and easy way to tweak them and make them more interesting
wow your tutorial is great but i dont understand hoe to recond the midi track after i created the loop. can u tell me how to do it? great video 5 stars
hi guys i cant get any sound from my mic im not sure if its the driver, it claims that the input for the microphone is active and output but i cant get sound, can i get any help?
regardless of what haters say, this looks amazing in terms of exploring new possibilities with loops. i mean other software do it very professionally but they dont offer too much in terms of getting interesting randomization like you do here.
I love FL, and I have been playing with Cubase, the most similar thing is Beat Designer. Which has step sequencing, and then you can drop your sequence in the main edit window.
Yes. Every version of Cubase has a pattern editor that offers drum style editing. And Cubase 5 now has something called the Beat designer - which is like programming patterns w/ rhythm machine.
@Aykeybeatz you need to ditch fl studio, it simply cant compare to cubase, protools or logic pro. i think cubase is the best software at the moment, even better than protools if you ask me, but its more a matter of personal preference. logic pro will suit you better if you dont record much and youre more on the creative side of music making and it also has the biggest library of sounds samples and loops, etc. just dont use fl studio, it will take you nowhere.
Hey, guys/gals - I have a question - I want to use loops that I've created, and there is a QWERTY shortcut that enables you to move the waveform around within the loop itself - enabling you to choose where you want the loop to start....
Does anyone know this shortcut? I forgot and cannot figure it out....! Thanks a bunch!
I dont quite get how your suposed to integrate this into your project, it has a seperate play button. does it work on a midi channel like any VST? whats up with that...
run the loop mash into a separate AUDIO trrack ,and record.the play button is for "review" purposes. it works more like a program that creates midi patterns based on the loops you use.
@claim34 I think you missed the point of the tool. You can make your own loops from pre existing ones so no more fiddly slicing up beats and rearanging. This piece of kit does it automatically. Anything that can speed up a workflow is alright in my book.
this program Cubase 5 doesnt make beats it has sample beats taht people use in there work to try and better themselfs kinda disapointing if you ask me
it doesn't seem to like pre-sliced audio, but you can import them into cubase and mix them down as a single audio file for use. there's probably another way as well
Awesome.. It would also be great to see a matrix there like in project 5 or Ableton in whick one can put different "mashes" and create the song basis.. anyway.. it's fantastic!
You would have to check the steinberg cubase site probably. This is indeed a fresh new approach to creating more interesting backing tracking. Can't wait to buy this DAW.:)

Does cubase actually have a real drum sequencer such as in fl studio?

you people are fahking stupid.
loop mash is to MAKE a loop then you can chop it again to create the fills and breaks.
You people saying "no use for it" and "its a toy" dont have a clue about making music.
Great job Steinberg.

what if i want to drop out the loop after a 16 bar how do i do that?
betterthnmosboys 2 years ago 2
Record the loop for 16 bars then export the midi as AUDIO track only.
elektrowhore 1 year ago
Just make it play all the time. And then make an automation clip for the volume. Then you just cut the volume out when you dont need it :b

Viva no humans playing music anymore.
All done by machines.
Going back to the 60s and 70s when music had soul.

most music is played by humans...cause machines are inadequate except for hip hop and usually pop.

basically this is shortcut for people who aren't good/creative at splicing/mashing up loops
MegaUtubenoob 2 years ago 2
how is this a short cut?...why do you people insist on making statements without any solid facts.
none of you probly know how to even fully use loop mash.
this is a BASIC showing of what it can do

ummm u just make your own
seing that you would already have cubase to use it
