The doorman did it. Chapman was set up to be a patsy so the professional killer posing as the doorman could be safe. Search for Silence of the Bushes on youtube. The only thing phony about John is that he covered for the fact of Paul being killed and replaced.

I must say about Lennon, he was for real right till the end. Chapman said he killed him for being a phony, but Lennon wasn`t. He had more than enough money to hire bodyguards, but rather than focus on defense, he took the bullets. He gave peace a chance.
