  • zaltsa e???

alla prin polla polla xronia !!mprova gia to video para polu kalo alitheia!!

  • etsi,,,na 8ymountai oi palioi k na ma8ainoun oi neoi..

  • Why did you name the video "Matsi i zi" - in arvanitika "The Black Cat"?

  • para para poly wraio...bravo re....

  • He is probably the happiest man on earth!

  • Awasome video. Very touching and good choice of music too.

Yet, I want to add that Arvanites will always be in our hearts, as they are part of our brotherly love. A love which is choked by the modern politics.

ps. Did your uncle ever returned in Livadia?

  • In my profile is just a poem that with simple words would be: Fatherland is called the land Where my head have falled Where i loved mother and father Where i am recognized even from the rocks Where i had my home Where i found God Grand grandfathers where have been And the graves that thay left Where i grew up with bread crumbs Where i spoke my language Where i have family and relatives Where i have laughed, where i have cried Where i live with joy and hope Where i would like to die
  • My videos are Arvanite songs that i wanted to publish in here, for the rest of the people who wants to listern to them.

They are in Arvanite language with Latin alphabet for two simple reasons.

1- I dont know to write in Greek alphabet.

2- I want the Albanians to be able to understand some of the words that are not in Arvanite language but in Greek (i dont understand them too) but it would be easier to pronounce for the ones that would like to sing them or what ever like that.

  • .....and all the peoples in there spoke the same language, he said he didnt want to go anywhere else because he felt home in there. He said, a month after he was in there he got invited in an Arvanite wedding and he was surprised to hear the songs and the dances............

And all of us was just hearing like he was telling us some legends from the anticity.

From that moment i was always interested about Arvanites, i read a lot, and even have contacts with a lot of Arvanites...

  • Its not like that.

The Albanian politice is f...ed up, and except money they dont want to know about nothing.

The connection is from us, the simple people that feel it. We feel it that Arvanites call the bread "BUK" and the watter "UJ" and that is enough for us to feel connected.

Like i said, lets not involve the politic in here and lets just enjoy the friendship of people of the same blood, language and tradition.

    Greetings to all Arvanites!

  • very moving dandyflicker. you know there is a great warmth today towards arvanites from albanians. our links were cut over the past nearly 200 years, but we still hear a spirit that we recognize and connect with and we wish you well.

  • A touching movie. Im originally from Albania, but I also had to feel the pain of immigrating. The last roll, where the cars are driving out, was something I experienced as well and remember how emotional it was. Today we are thankful to move since Im attending a good US university and have a more hopeful future.,.. but moving can never be an easy thing. To pick your life and just go out and start a new is emotionally draining.

  • part 3 is indeed deeply moving

  • exactly what i said.

we all experienced it at a time or another.

  • I couldn't watch the last part and not have tears in my eyes.

I am Albanian, and in those last 20 years we have been spread all over the world. I know exactly what that man in there with his arms crosed on his chest feels.

Its not easy to let your son leave to a different country, not knowing if he is gonna come back or not.

Thank you an other time "dandyflicker" for sharing this old family tape with us.

  • Wow

    This is amazing!

Whatching this old tape brings me back in time, reminds me of my family back in the day. Poor, simple life but so happy just to be together.

Just watching it and it feels like i have knew those people for years.

Long life Arvanites wherever they live.

Thank you very much "dandyflicker" for sharing this with us.
