Neil is definitely a national treasure--along with Joni, Leonard Cohen, and Gordon Lightfoot. Being from Ontario - I've related to this tune and the North as a place to think - a solemn place with deep blue skies and rugged rocky grey one-ness, where sheer scale of empty terrain brings both peace and a feeling of helpless recognition that the land is too big too forlorn to change - it changes you (all my changes were there).
