@blaklazer You'd think that if he can turn into smoke, the first thing he'd do after Sub-Zero knocked some sense into him is turn into smoke and then reform his body.

I mean, i'm no super power physicist or anything, but what's stopping him from doing that? As far as I'm concerned, Smoke was always human, he just happened to live in a robot for a few years.

That's becuase Smoke was in the good side and was Sub Zero's best friend until he was automatized against his will. He's also programed numerous times but he is still good in his inner. o.O

I knew Scorpion killed the older brother/original Sub Zero but I did not know that he was now Noob Saibot.

I thought Noob Saibot was an original character from the deepest darkest pit of the Nether Realm.

I thought Noob was original 2, and according to UMK3 he was....but then the writers turned the story around and said Noob was the original Sub Zero.

When you think about it, it does make sense to have a Noob/Smoke alliance if Noob is the original Sub Zero. Smoke was his best friend in the Lin Kuei

They gave a hint in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, where, in that game, Quan Chi mentions to Sub-Zero that his soul was tainted with evil. He then tells him to join the Netherealm and the Brotherhood of Shadow, to which Sub-Zero refused and opposed.

Ironically, upon his death, Sub-Zero (as Noob Saibot) ended up joining the Brotherhood anyway.

The Mortal Kombat comic books (which were produced by Midway) depicted Sub-Zero (Noob Saibot) having a best friend named Hydro- a young ninja who couldn't freeze, yet had the power to control/omit water. Since Hydro never made it into the games, I assume he was just some afterthought.

Either way, I do agree with you. And I think there lies in the irony of Smoke's fate being intertwined with both Sub-Zeroes.

(recent reports) smoke is my #1 favorite character. and he was able to debunk raiden. smoke is just so cool and awesome. so yeah smoke is my #1 and will remain that way for a very long time. ^^

I have thought about it , and smoke has finally ranked at 31 favorite mk character of all time. since he was my very 1st character I actually liked , and I have been a big smoek fan for a very long time. so yeah I think he is my #1 favorite. thanks for posting this. ^^ BTW , MKDOTR episode titles old friends never die is my favorite episode in that show. ^^

well, this is why picking between raiden and smoke as my top favorite is very hard for me. because both of them are very cool , and they have been my oldest favorites for many many years. but in the end it all comes down to of who I like the best. smoke is my favorite ninja & cyborg & raiden has been my most favorite since MK movie 1 with christopher lambert. so in scale , yes raiden has been my #1 favorite. smoke has been a large scale just short from raiden. I'll make a video explaining it.

I like the Human Smoke and the Cyber Smoke.But I hate when the designers of MK game's put Scorpion's moves to Human Smoke maybe he could keep the teleport punc but disappers into smoke.

Smoke is my favorite mortal kombat character. it has been for quite a while now. My only problem is that there isnt any merchandise of cyborg smoke. which really grinds my gears because It would look kick ass as a figurine. plus, I kick some major ass against my brother with smoke. smoke is personally my favorite of the cyborgs and ninjas and my #1 favorite character of all mortal kombat. but thats just my opinion. thanks for posting this my good friend.
