The guy is very good, tho it's a misnomer for you to be saying "no other effects whatsoever" when he's clearly playing a hip-shot (or comparable).....
That's the b-bender that Forrest makes ,I have one and I don't really think of it as an effect....it's part of the guitar ,He IS plugged straight into the amp .....I'm not tryin to be an a-hole but would You say that if He was playin a Strat with a trem bar? I don't think He is tryin to be deceptive.....He's Forrest Lee Jr.! The Man tells no lies.Peace
@616x4, no offense taken, here's why I disagree....tho it's part of the guitar now, I'm guessing it was an after market add-on; even if it wasn't, effects have been built into guitars before (Dano most recently) that are "part of the guitar", yet still effects. As to a VIBRATO bar, it's easy to see them being used as opposed to a b-bender mechanism that's not apparent but to those familiar with that technology.....since he was being completist in his description, it should've been mentioned....
A vibrato bar is always an effect; the difference being that it's visible, and thus apparent. With a hip shot (or comparable) being obscured typically, it's not something we can readily see, and to, therefore, attribute it to double-stops is a misnomer. Terrific player here-
@TwangTown I understand. I was just addressing the fact that a 'bender' of any type is an effect. I'm from the school of thought that there's two types of music. This is good stuff- Nice compression ... Dynacomp?
This is an old argument I've seen a number of times over the years on TDPRI, All the guitars I make... or at least most, have a bender installed. Crook, Fender both make Bender Tele guitars.
For years I couldnt figure out what that volume knob looking thing was on Jimmy Page's Brown Bomber Tele it's a Parsons White B Bender ... So I see what you are saying.
Anybody that knows me, knows I've been a bender guy since I was a kid. It's an extension of my style now.
I got me the 333xl head. It out muscles everything else I've tried recently, including a JVM410, the new Bogner/line 6 spider valve, Dual recto mesa, 6505 peavey. Best head I've ever owned!
such a nice video..keep up the great work!

are you saying that if you install a floyd into a guitar that used to be a fixed bridge, then its an effect?

You can definitly see a hipshot... its 5 1/2" x 3" of chrom on top of the guitar...
The real sneaky ones are Joe's but you can still see the trap coming from the neckplate area not the typical stap button area.

@vampyros1 Hey there,

616x4 i agree w/ u. b-bender does not change any sound of the strings as an analog or digital pedal can & does.
If homeslice playing hear were to have brought in an e-bow than I say he was not neccessarily going "strait".
