  • There will never be guitar tabs/chords. Feels bad man.

  • She's going to be at Anime Boston this year.

    YYYYYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • Anyone else went in a spiral of sad emotional mood after playing this? A strange bitter sweet feeling that hurts. :x

  • I...I love this shit.

  • i never knew i'll love the story of the game. I thought it's purely H, and some monster-battling scenes, but then...I fell in love with the story.I felt sorry for his friends though, especially Oumi (because she's the first victim).but what the touching part is what Ougai said about Saya [Spoiler Alert]

‎"After learning everything there was to know about humanity, she herself became irreversibly human. Weary of loneliness, she despaired of the world - how pure her maiden's soul must have been."

  • Saya no Uta is a masterpiece.

I didn't appreciate the H scenes. I appreciate the story.

Fuminori totally turned his back on the real world.

However, If you had finished the game in the first ending, It will show Fuminori still loved Saya. Even though he hear the sluggish slippery sounds.

Fuminori's personality get...More Psycho as the story continues. He want nothing aside to protect Saya.

I will never never never forget this game.

  • Lol its kinda funny how some people were talking about moral systems being universal, because even if that was true, everyone has their own morals so that argument would not count.

Sure, I do not agree with what Fuminori did, after all he knew they were his friends but still decided to kill them, but he clearly couldn't take it anymore. In the beginning he even stated he just cried for days on end. You can't really blame him. But my favorite ending is still the one where Koji takes Ryouko. X3

  • @MeSezSo nothin wrong with that

  • Funminori fucked a land moving octopussy...

  • It's not that Fuminori is just too weak from the start, you can pull him away from his distorted world before it's too late. It may be an uneventful ending, but I like it. My favourite ending is where Kouji takes Ryoko with him though. Mind you, I love all of the endings. But when you take Ryoko, you learn more about Saya than if you don't. It's fucking depressing, but I just love what Kouji says around the end about the power of truths.

  • @Netugi

    Ryoko is hot.

    Wish she lived.

Fuck Funminori stupid octopus raping manbastard.

    Fuck saya too.

  • @iTrolledABearTwice She is hot. However, both endings where she dies, or if she didn't die, are both plausible, I think. When she dies, it emphasizes how lonely, and sort of hardened to reality, Kouji becomes, especially with his hallucinations. If she lived though, I imagine them becoming friends or some sort, though probably not very deep.

  • @Netugi pt. 2

Fuminori and Saya are awesome. I love the psychology in the game, especially with Fuminori and Kouji. I don't see Fuminori as "the bad guy". Just, very different, I suppose. Fuminori lives a very different lifestyle than everyone else, and is better off isolated with Saya, rather than trying to fit in. I can understand Fuminori's actions. That feeling of being sucked in by someone (or a group), not caring about what anyone else thinks. His case is an extreme case of that.

  • A twistedly beautiful game... It's been almost a year since I've played this and it still hasn't left my mind. It may have traumatized me.

  • I can't stop listening to this for some reason! XD

  • This Visual Novel was all around disturbing, but still memorable and likable in that sense. Only through something so gross and unmentionable can something be such an enjoyable experience. It's that very idea of disgust and despair that makes you feel hope and encouragement.

I have so much to say about this VN and there isn't enough room on here for me to do so. I approve of everything up to the point of Saya 'blooming', in which case I find Saya being killed the only right outcome.

  • maybe it is the fact that i play too much warhammer 40k. but i was relieved that she died.

    Purge the Xeno Scum.

  • @Kami091190 In the name of the Emperor. And as The Emperor himself said, that which safeguards humanity canot be evil. The love of Saya and Fuminori may have been pure (in a twisted way) but there was too much at stake. And this is my message to the wide eyed romantics. Think of the untold milliards of people, thrown into the agony of this sudden metamorphosis because of their selfish act. How many of them would go mad from such "wondrous" transformation?

  • @Paulderak well spoken my brother.

  • @Paulderak

    Saya came from the Warp.

  • This needs an OVA series.

  • After reading this VN and completing all 3 ends, I've been thinking, could it perhaps be possible that we're all slimeballs who see and sense each other the way Fuminori does (in all five senses) ?

And if anyone disagrees & points to Saya's "immoral" acts, it's about time you realize the absurdity of pushing human values onto an Extra-dimensional, higher being. She has learned something very human though, Love.

Saya, I can see your soul! And it is shining with such radiance and beauty!

  • @RonnieNolanRaharjo

Screw your radiance, she was a disgusting and evil abomination.

Also, she didn't seem so "higher being" after she tasted a lil shotgun and got a nitrogen bath, now did she?

  • @NathanRomml She is a disgusting and evil abomination according to human standards.

However, you have to remember that she is not human, and thus should not be judged by what we perceive to be good or evil, the same way we cannot fault a tiger for killing to eat.

Whether she is a higher being is contestable, but I would disagree that she is evil. I find her (not her physical appearance) beautiful, in that she learned to love.

  • @Tomoyuki976

So..you're basically praising her for things you consider good(love) while omitting things you would consider bad "cause she's a higher being"?

And I don't know what exactly do you mean by saying that we should not judge her....I'm pretty sure moral systems tend to be universal.

Also, I don't really think she was killing for survival....all the time.

  • @NathanRomml I'm not praising her, I'm just telling you I find a single aspect of her beautiful despite her physical appearance. And I said whether she is a higher being or not is contestable, meaning I don't even consider her as a higher being in the first place.

And no, moral systems are not universal. Would a tiger have morals? A fox? A wolf? And if you go back in history, even some guy from 2,000 years ago will have a very different idea of morals from twenty-first century people like us.

  • Saya no uta is getting localized.

  • @Kytseo Just found out, too. Holy crap, did I get excited.

  • This is truly the ultimate love story. I never saw such a perfect fusion of romance and horror. It one of the most unique stories I have ever known.

  • from what is this??? anime? game? plz someone say me

  • @djim2468 Saya no Uta, its a visual novel (:

  • @djim2468 visual novel, google it.

  • Sucks that this song was part of a hentai game that was never really released in America.

  • @BrookeFilth Just buy the Japanese version and install a patch.

  • @BrookeFilth actually JAST is localizing it, I dont know about their progress though... but hey its something

  • @HellRaven9 You can preorder it now, so it's probably going to come next year at the latest.

  • This game made me cry and scared.I think Saya may be is humanoid form of a creature but she has a good heart FOR Fuminori.Aw!I can't stop crying.:D

  • the game was made by the same creator of Magica Madoka...

    What the hell?

but then again, magica madoka was a modernization of Faust while this game...I'd put beauty in the eye of the beholder but if the beholder is fucked so is his idea of beauty.

  • @hepop123

    QB=Saya?

    HELL NO!!

  • @hepop123 lol when I watched Madoka i was totally unaware of the faust references, I thought using german words was the normal japanese obsession with the german language.^^ But I think even if there are some similarities, I think it is very different from the original. If it werent for the quotes and use of some names / words I think you can compare Madoka just as good to The Matrix.

  • I always kinda wondered what Fuminori's reaction would be if he were to ever see the real Saya. I mean, he broke off contact with his friends so easily, but than again, he didn't necessarily "Love" them the way he does Saya. Idk. Just would be interesting to see how he would deal with it...as long as he wouldn't commit suicide. Bloody easy-way out!

  • @SigmaEpsalon I think he would accept her. He broke off with his friends easily because he saw them right after the accident, so he got scared, and over time the fear and disgust overwrote his feelings for them completely. But now he's more or less used to this world, so he would understand Saya.

  • After playing that masterpiece I did walked around my neighborhood with beer and smoking a lot ciggarettes and I was thinking... Can you tell that Fuminori or Saya are freaks, monsters? Did Fuminori was mindfucked so he saw the world twisted and ugly?? Or did he saw REAL world?? Like all the humans were, ugly and twisted as their nature is? Was he wrong, or was the WORLD wrong? He gave her true love and she presented him a beautiful new world, where he could live. She loved him, and he loved her

  • @K00113R

    Good question my friend.

Here is mine: let's say Saya hadn't eaten anyone, so there was no reason to imprison her and she decided not to "infect" humans. Should these two come "out of the closet" do you think society would accept a human/eldritch abomination couple?

  • @ThisOneIsTaken Do you mean our society, the same society which still condemn/alienate third gender people and forbid same sex marriage? Well. that's a tough question i'd say...

    (just joking)

The closest example somewhat resemble this very idea, for me is "I am legend", the world is not black and white, with shining armor hero and disgusting monster so we can chose side just by the looks. If anything, love is not a privilege for only human, but sentient being capable of having a soul. Saya do.

  • This game was beautiful in every sense, I cant blame fuminori for anything as I would go as far as necessary for the person I love, and the fact that you can understand every character in such a short game is amazing. But the real magic is that this game, is ultimately a love story. After watching madoka I was already convinced that Gen is an amazing writer, but after reading saya no uta, all I can say is thatGEn is just amazing

  • @SilverAlex92 The issue is this: Can we really say that Fuminori loved Saya? I won't deny that Saya loved Fuminori, but for the majority of the game, he was really just using her. My point is, did he love her because of who she was? Or did he just think he loved her because she was the only thing connecting him to his humanity? It's easy to love the last human being on earth. But I wouldn't call it real love.

  • @Ghurdrich You may be right, she was the last and only person he could relate, but even if he loved her only because of that, would it matter? My point is that even if he just loved her for being the only thing in the world to relate, he still loved her until the very end. And I don't think that Fumonori was using her, as he didn't wanted her to fight with him in the final chapter, One thing that is clear is that he was willing to do anything for her, (and he did).

  • @SilverAlex92

I agree. The characterisation in this story is pretty darn awesome. Gen really is an amazing writer. ^-^

    P.S. I hate word limit.

  • our world we living in human=monster

this games kinda represent a person;s mind who came to hate this world we are living in

  • I got mindfucked playing this game......that was until I played the bad ending where he ended up in the white room.......

    How sad :(

  • @Aldo628

ironically, that's probably the most peaceful resolution for everyone.

The only reason in the world Fuminori likes Saya is because his view of the world and everything in it has been warped. Essentially, because he is so screwed up sensory wise, he falls for Saya as she is the only thing that still resembles his old life. What would happen if he really saw Saya for who she was?

    Interesting to think about.

  • @sapnyosentry

That was why he liked her at first. He clung to her only out of his mad desire for something familiar, and who could blame him? However, it turned into true love. He realized just what she was and what he would have to do to stay with her. He had the choice to have his old life back, but he chose to stay with Saya. He KNEW what she looked like really because he saw normal humans as grotesque monsters and knew she looked the same. He gave up a world of normalcy to be with her.

  • Fuminori was weak. He couldn't live in the world of monsters, he shunned his friends away just because of their appearance. If he was strong, he would have stayed with the disgusting world of mankind. He clung to Saya in his pathetic weakness, judging her by appearance. Were he to meet her in her normal appearance, I doubt he would be so fast to embrace her. Though I agree, it is hard to live in a world filled with monsters. Ours is such as well, sadly.

  • @Paulderak someone dosn't have to look like a monster to bee a monster. and that which looks like a monster dosn't have to be a monster. humans are FAR FAR FAR from angels, and Saya was just as human as any other man. I do not blame Fuminori for being week. he did what he wanted to do. yeah he destroyed humanity but that isn't such a big deal. a new race took it's place so life goes on :)

  • @TyphorT38 I agree. Physical appearances mean next to nothing, especially of you're version of reality is distorted as Fuminori's was. I personally loved Saya's character, and I would have done the same thing as Fuminori did (in the two endings where he didn't return as a human and end up in the White Room) Saya was Fuminori's one link to sanity, and I don't think anyone can blame him for clinging to it.

  • @Paulderak Weak? Haha, well, in the words of Zhou Yu to Sun Quan in Dynasty Warriors 7, "You may be cowardly, weak, and devious, but in the end, that is why you will be victorious."

  • @Paulderak I think you might be underestimating the severity of his condition just a little bit... strength of will when constantly facing a world composed of eldrich abominations seems like trying to swim with cinder blocks tied to your ankles.

  • @Paulderak I agree to you. Also, this game makes you think of what reality really is. You may see this world filled with monsters just like Fuminori, where the reality is the inverse. And contrarywise.

  • @Paulderak Like you said, it would be a very hard world to live in. Just imagine, almost EVERYTHING you see is wretched with pulsating guts, maggots, and blood. Everything you smell is vile. Everything you eat and drink is gut-wrenching. Whenever you sleep, you sleep on a pile of guts. All your friend's voices make you cringe. The only place you feel comfortable in is a filth-ridden environment where no one else would go. All the isolation from that, and your only salvation is this one girl.

  • @Paulderak

    He had known that she wasn't human for a while because he figured that if his friends look like monsters to him, she must be a really terrifying being to be able to look human in his messed up vision. And in the "white room" ending, even when he heard the slopping sounds coming from the other side of the door, he still did the whole cellphone-I-love-you thing. That was just so ;_;

  • @dreamercross That doesn't excuse him. The same way he turned on the ones he considered friends, he'd have turned on Saya sooner or later. I don't blame him for wanting to see her as he wanted her to look like, but I don't think that'd give him the right to go against the very people he used to care about, even going so low as to humiliate and use them.

  • @Paulderak

I think he was corrupted by Saya. Ryoko and Kouji avoided even looking at the items at Ougai's research lab- direct interaction with the very source of corruption...well. Like Ryoko said, at some point Fuminori was beyond help, his original personality was lost, twisted and changed into something monstrous.

  • @Paulderak

"live in the world of monsters"Aren't we already doing that? The monsters in the story might be a crude personification of humanity. As for Fuminori, his cirumstances must be considered. He couldn't understand the concern of his friends.Affinity with someone of different species than that of themselves would be impossible to share,be it only visual. My opinion differs about his haste in embracing Saya.He didn't love her only because of her appearance, but her personality.

  • @Paulderak

you dont realize he fell in love with what she was not because of appearances, he no doubt knew she was human but he lived in a world of lie because it was a very fragile dream as it was, to see her as a monster and end that dream would have decimated (as you find out in the alternate ending)

  • @bellendbasher Actually, I think in the true end part, when he asks Saya if she is human, she's quiet. He then says that even if he doesn't know what Saya looks like on the outside, he'll stay with her. So basically, in the true path, he has an idea of what she could be but it's not confirmed. Still, it's a...story that will I will never forget. Too bad I'm underage and can't buy it full, instead of just watching playthroughs. Also, I hate chara counts, don't you??

  • This is an amazing song to an amazing visual novel. :)

My first visual novel by the way, and I hope there are more out there

with a similar twisted Lovecraftian kind of world.

  • Honestly, the greatest thing about this VN is just how deep it strikes your emotion and how something so small, has an applicable philosophy. It claims that the soul isn't just something that is given to every living thing, that it is earned through knowledge and feelings, something that can has to be learned.

It wasn't until I read about how Saya went from being emotionless to having feelings, that of longing and love. She may have had twisted senses, but her heart was extremely pure.

    <3 Saya

  • I played about an hour or so of this. I am so startled that I am having trouble breathing.

  • This VN made me cry, mindfucked, and scared. Glorious.

  • I absolutely love this song

  • Really great visual novel. I actually liked the Final ending. I just think it ended in an epic way.

  • anyone got the lyrics for this?

  • Just finished the story liked the original ending best.+Beautiful song.

  • *^* WAAAH!

  • .... did anyone cry when they finished this game?

I didnt. I walked around my neighborhood constantly telling myself that I got mindfucked. Only then did I calm down

  • @neoMushroom I didn't finish it until yesterday, but before that I was on a break away from the internet so i couldn't finish it... It was then that I was mindfucked.

  • @som3AZN I feel your pain bro, I feel your pain

  • @neoMushroom I felt sick after playing this, no where near crying though. It's a creepy/sick VN, not really sad in terms of VNs.

Clannad if something that would make you cry around a dozen times if you're looking to cry.

  • @neoMushroom you mean finished all three endings? or one in particular?

  • @neoMushroom wow a geek in distress just wow

  • This song is my fave from Itou Kanako, this type of song fits her voice perfectly, but not something like Modern Rose...I agree w lot with GuyoofManyHobbies, that Kanako can make u feel lots of emotion through her singing.

  • i actually clapped and weeped at the end of this game. it was really good ..:')

  • Songs like these are IMO some of Kanako Itou's best. She's one of the few singers that has the voice that can portray the sad, emptyness, hopelessness, fustraition, and anger needed for these types of songs. I have no idea what she said in this song, but you can feel it. That's what I love about this singer!

  • aw i <3 this song!

  • q chulo:D

  • Love love love the song. Wish I had never decided to play the game though. It was good and all (so far, only got to the first ending) but man my brain is fucked.

  • @Ozutheone

oh come on, wasn't it worth it ? :D

  • Very mind fucked game , but really good none the less.

  • i feel that the game is relatively demented and a bit screwed up, but good none the less

  • can i ask you guys what game this is?

i'm interested to play it but i heard i have to installed VNDS or whatever to play this kind of game?

    help pls

  • @aimansss95 As I know you don´t have to install anything but the game and the englishpatch. Ahh and you have to use applocale to run it or change your location to japan ^^

  • Finished the game few hours ago and my mind is still screwed up...I enjoyed every minute of it...this song fit perfectly as the ending theme...

  • It's scary but very sad at the same time . . . sniff~

  • this has to be one of my fave songs from song of saya :3

  • such a sad, yet a very strong song.

It really delivers the sorrow deep inside the heart.

Unlike shallow fake sad songs you hear these days.

  • @lamyunholic Mmm that's why you gotta love japanese and chinese songs. English songs these days are pitiful *nods*. Especially the love songs, when they talk about their love, then for some reason talk about apples or trains.

  • the elder gods sleep, outside the edges of human consciousness

  • @KuperParker I hope that is sarcasm.

  • @codyc67 i hope you die

  • @KuperParker Have fun listening 2 Milley Cirus

    :D

  • Very very sad song.....

  • 2nd ending owned

  • Anime=Censor fest like umineko

  • Saya no Uta my favorite game <3

  • it's not a game, it's a novel something.

  • @PikolUploader

It's a visual novel, which is called a game.

  • Nice!!!!!! =)

  • This game stole my heart.

  • lindo tema de kanako ito

  • Lyrics part1 Flowers of winter blossomed In this fleeting season Eyes turned away Only a sick wind caressing their corners The two of us were gazing at The unchanging scarlet I handed it to you And took my hand away Chorus Gazing at the broken shards Still unable to move Now spilling down... Gathering the shards of the dream Still unable to move Now spilled down and away
  • This song reminds me of the ED to ultraviolet. It's very nice, sounds great on my iPod!!!

  • 神曲!!

  • NEVER READ THIS VISUAL NOVEL.

  • @zergit Visual Novels aren't really books, they're a type of game. They are similar to adventure books though.

  • where can i download this song for free? please tell me.

  • @WindDragon93 torrent it

  • is there anywhere else? i dont like to torrent. if theres not thanks anyway i really apreciate it :)

  • oh i found a site i already got it thanks for all your help though :)

  • Saya and Fuminori Forever!

  • Oh, wow.

  • Such a great game.

Wanna play Steins;Gate as soon as possible!..

  • @svtft

So do I. Chances are very high that it won't get translated though.

And I want to see more of that radioactive-looking teleporting gel banana....

  • This game is brilliant, not much more to say.

Sayas Ending is beautiful and the other endings are good too.

Brilliant work (again) by nitro +. TNX for the upload.

  • fucked up game but I loved it to bits! + Plus I love kanako Itou voice :) and Nitro+

  • The picture is good! The music either of course.

  • your best friend kills your loli then you kill yourself after that your friend kills yourself and this plays...fuckin epic

  • @hudaverdi11 Kouji doesn't kill himself. He just has the option to, and that's enough to get him through each night and keep him from going insane.

  • donde puedo encontrar la cancion con subs en español¿?

  • Google? La cancion es muy buena, no? : D

  • This is song is honestly so beautiful. I never played the game, but I know the story. Truly, truly beautiful.

  • You should try it.

It's definitely something you would not regret.

It's one of the best visual novels there is.

  • Oh, I would have played it by now if I new how to get it. >.>

  • esta ggenial la kancion

  • Oh wait....it seems to be the good ending according to wikipedia O.o

  • I felt so sad when this song started playing as soon as the bad ending was over...

I really was like '....They can't leave it to this, nooo'.

  • For the record, it would be impossible for an OVA, a full length anime, or a live action movie to do this VN justice.

Considering what the world looked like through the eyes of the main character, it would be impossible to recreate that for a longer period of time.

Not to mention the ratings and censores it'd have to go through.

  • I'm pretty sure it's doable, might take some work but it's definitely possible. The problem would be finding a studio/team that has the motivation to work on it.

As for the rating/censors, I've seen worse.

  • I really wish they would make a live action or animated movie of this visual noval.

It really has all the elements to make an excellent movie.

  • It would make a good movie, to bad the story was so short though.

  • The novel is amazing, but Tsukihime is even better imho.

  • How does that have anything to do with anything?

Yes, Tsukihime was amazing, but it's not right to compare them, Saya no Uta was only a few hours long and only really had 1 route, while Tsukihime took what was it? 40 hours to play all route's? It's just not right to compare them like that.

If you take the length into consideration, Saya no Uta is almost better, considering it got that much done in that small amount of time.

  • The entire story in Saya no Uta was about romance, of course the ending is going to follow that example.

And Tsukihime had much more time to introduce more characters and show you more of their personality.

So, once again, you can't compare the two when one is 40 hours and the other is like, 7.

  • Ok, you win.

  • This game should be made an anime but without losing any of it`s details. (maybe hentai could be less but whatever)

  • What a lovely song for such a gorey game O_O

  • Gorey? Really? I find it beautiful.

  • Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game. But flesh hanging on the wall and eating human jello/cannibalism is a little on the extreme side.

  • Flesh hanging on the wall? No, I think that all slain enemies were consumed properly.

  • It find it beautiful through the fact that he manages to fall in love with a girl in a world made of flesh. And that you get the feeling that Saya and Fuminori are the only beautiful creatures in a messed up world were everyone looks like monsters. But when I found out that Saya was an alien, I was very suprised.

  • They should make this into an anime : )

  • Fuck that, they should make it into a live action movie

  • Lol that works too

  • i can stand animated blood and gore but i think i'm gonna throw up on a live action.

anyway, very nice song. so emotional.

  • Well, an OVA, but yeah.

  • Wait... Saya shouldn't have that big of a bust size (in this pic)!

  • agreed! that chest in the pic is blasphemy!

  • hola me podrias decir como esncontrar esa cansion osi me la podrias pasr en fin grasias y si puedes pasa por mi camal para avisame arigato gozaimasu

  • Such a sad, sad story.

    Yet it's so beautiful.

  • Really impressive game...definitely not for everyone, but still...one of the best I've ever played.

The song itself is so sad...but it's perfect.

  • @AvvilGarrant friend whats your favorite in the game ending then?
