  • today's cars don't have even close to that much style

  • I asked my old man first about a 1956 Caddy I found for him, before I drove 1200 miles to get it, he said "What for? You can't drive those old things anymore efficiently or bring them up to date. That was a 6000 lb car. I'd have no use for it, no where to put it." Thanks dad. I bought him a fishing rod instead and kept the money for my son's education.

  • Good job on getting the car done looks great. I admire your love for your parents. I never got to know my father but maybe one day I will see him on the other side. I am sorry to hear about your mother to man.

  • it makes you think that there is a higher power out there. I see this kind of thing way to many times where somebody hangs on to life just long enough for a special event, then they pass on shortly after. And for her to pass on mothers day is sad but very special in that mothers day will always have deep meaning to you for the rest of your life. God bless

This is a wonderful thing you did for your father and a delightful video to watch. Thank you for letting us all share this otherwise very personal event.

  • Very touching video, i'm 26 and have a 68 RS/SS myself. The world needs more people like you.

  • Vids like theses makes me cry. Son giving his dad his dream car... I really wish I could do this to my dad. Thank you for sharing that !

  • @Graneable You're a good man.

  • I wanna see the damm car!!

  • I plan on doing the same thing for my dad, when I was 11 years old (im 29 now) my dad had a flawless 69 camaro. There was a family at our church that was about to be kicked out of there home with 3 young children. My dad sold the 69 camaro and gave every dollar to the family to stay in there home and asked nothing in return. It was about 8k, that same car today would be 40-50k. Ive been trying to find that exact car to buy back for him, every lead fizzles out. This video really was great to se

  • @Redgts6969 Build him another another one, he'll really appreciate the effort more than just tracking down his original car

  • Unexpected gift, sees 69 camaro pull up. shit brix and cry. not hugs.

  • A beautiful family moment. No more to add!

  • Actually, LOL it is called a brain fart for some odd reason when i said it in my head Ford 454 just sounded right, but i am so glad everyone has pointed it out, i dont think i will be forgeting that any tinme soon. thanks for your comment

  • Its beautiful and thats how life should go, always take care of mom and dad...

  • PRICELESS...

My hubby bought it for me for a early christmas present! haha

  • This made me cry, especially the letter! You have amazing parents to have raised such a thoughtful son. You are 1 in 1,000,000,000!

  • He looks like Jerry The King Lawler from WWE!

  • this is such an awesome video very nice car i love camaros my dream car is a 2002 35th Aniverissy Camaro SS me and my father are in the process of rebuilding a 2001 SS Camaro we are gunna go racing but man this is so awesome what u did for ur father im only 22 but i hope i can someday do something like this for my father again awesome job brother

  • you sir are a good man. this must be the greatest feeling on earth fathers really do devote there lives to there children and there favorite car as a teenager is all they ask for they just dont admit it great job dude great fucking job

  • that's a beautiful car, great job on it. is that a teal you painted it? it's gorgeous

  • Rod run, here we come.

  • can I adopt you?

  • wow,you are a really great son

  • well done boys

  • What engine did it have; a 454?

  • @abm92296 no just a 350, besides I think a 454 is a ford and that would be just WRONG

  • @vershil Yeah true. But like I said, that's a really nice car you put together. I'd imagine it took a lot of hard work and money

  • @vershil 454 is a chevy motor i saw a 454 in a chevelle ss. it was a huge motor made by chevy. In the 70s chevy came out with the 454 and put in the chevelle ss.

  • @vershil no sir 454 is a big block chevy motor

  • @vershil 454 is a chevy....... an ss camaro for 1

  • @vershil 454 is gm

  • @vershil umm the 454 is chevy, the only way a ford would EVER have a 454 in it would be if the owner did a conversion on it. also @abm92296 the first generation camaro's didnt have 454's, only ones i know of that did were the second generation.

  • @vershil 454 is chev not ford. Ford is 460.

  • @vershil no a 454 big block is a chevy motor my uncle put it in his chevelle

  • @vershil 454 is a chevy but i dont thing they put them in those cars anyways. awsome car though!

  • @vershil 454 is a chevy motor, 460 is the big ford motor.

  • @vershil Nah Chevy made a 454. Remember the pickup from the early 90's? The Chevy 454 SS pickup, made from 1990 to 1993 is one example. The first 454 from Chevy wasn't built till 1970, so it's better to leave it with a factory style engine. I mean a modded 454 is nice, but I figure he enjoys having the car the same way it would have been when he was young.

  • Comment removed

  • @vershil no 454 came in the chevy truck, he was thinking the 427 most likely that was in the Yenko.

  • @vershil

    454 is chevy 460 is a ford

  • @vershil Without a doubt,a 454 is a chevrolet engine.

  • @vershil 454 is chevy. very nice what u did. 350 is a hell of a motor. take care.

  • @vershil 454 is in a Chevy. But still that is an awesome gift!

  • @vershil no 454 is Chevy

  • @vershil Great video and a great idea and thought for your dad , I just got one question , how does a fella restore a 69 camaro with the thought of a 454 being a ford motor ????? lol

  • @vershil My father has a 454 in his 1969 Camaro, and there is nothing wrong about it.

  • @vershil no 454 is chevy

  • @vershil ford is a 460

  • @vershil 454 is a GM engine. Great surprise you gave your dad. Good job !!.

  • @vershil i think that if you are buying a car such as this, doing it up, restoring it, everything.. you should add what it truly needs, a large powerful engine :D

  • what do you mean beautiful?!!!!! IT"S GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

  • @ronedogg69 No I am not looking for praise in anyway. It was because of another video that I saw on here that made me put my wish for my dad into motion. It was made by a guy I have never met, nor even spoken too but it was his kind gesture that motivated me to change my father’s life by fulfilling his dream

  • @vershil none the less. I apologize for that comment. Your dad is still a lucky SOB though ;)

  • @vershil Good job brother! I lost my father at an early age and only wish I could have done the same. He had quite a few classic cars through the years. Nevermind all the negative comments, this is a great accomplishment!! I wish your family the best.

  • @ronedogg69 looking for praise? what kind of jackass says that? This is what you call paying your respect to someone who has had a great deal on impact on your life, I see that you've never experienced that.

  • @low72 hahah go drive your 86 caprice nigger wagon.

  • @ronedogg69 Oooh waaaah, you get called out so you go look at someones profile to try & bash them? Lol that's something little children do on here.. I take it you're an angry person, so you take to youtube to shoot people down. Aren't you a winner? Oh, BTW, thank you I will go drive my car. It's an 88 actually, & not a wagon, a sedan, so FAIL at that attempted insult. "Ronedogg69" you can quit quit frontin' you little gangsta wannabe, it's time to be on some grown man shit like me and vershil

  • @low72 your still talking nigger? go away.

and nigger wagon means a car that only a nigger would drive. IE that caprice.... nigger

  • @ronedogg69 I don't get it, what's the point of calling me a "nigger" when I'm caucasian? FYI, many people drive a Caprice, they were one of the best built automobiles to date. What's wrong with driving a well built car? Come on, you can insult me on something other than a car that I own, can't you? Or are you going to keep calling a white person "nigger" lol, you fail horribly. You talk like owning a Chevy is a bad thing. lol fail.

You talk like owning a Chevy is a bad thing. lol fail.

  • @low72 Nah he's actually right about driving a Caprice lol. And white people can be N words. It's not really a racist thing because even blacks with a healthy self image will know the difference between a normal African American compared to an N word African American.

And obviously you are 12 years old to make the claim that a caprice is considered a well built car to "date". HAH! Noob

  • @jihadjared White people CAN'T be N words because they're not BLACK. The N word is slang for black people or a member of any dark skinned people, and yes there is a difference between a normal African American & a N word African.

You obviously don't know your vehicles if you don't think a Caprice is one of the best American made cars ever to date. I'd rather cruise in a 4,000 lb boat then to drive a little tin can go kart. If I'm "obviously" 12 how the hell would I be driving? HAH! Noob

  • @low72 So your a wigger then? Driving a nigger wagon. Chev good cars for sure, caprice is not one of them there mr taxi driver.

Im a gangster wannabe? Where the fuck did that come from there buddy? I dont think so there mr fuckin drives a niggered up caprice and trys to act like hes black. I can quit frontin? Some grown man shit? Ok there nigger wannabe, you disgrace to the white race piece of shit.

Learn how to talk and type your white, and a grown man.

  • @ronedogg69 If a caprice isn't a good one, then neither is an Impala huh? And what does your race have to do with a vehicle you drive? Seriously? Being a bit stereotypical are we? I like how you act like you know so much about me except you couldn't pick this "wigger" out in a crowd. "Learn how to talk and type your white" LOL you don't even know the difference between "your" and "you're" haha you try bashing me but you just bashed yourself "ronedogg69" You're a "dogg" huh gangsta boy? LOL yeeea

  • @ronedogg69 Come on man, sharing the moment isn't looking for praise.

  • i cant believe that 1 person disliked this. no heart! this vid is amazing. its my dream to one day be able to give back that much to my dad. he always says gifts are material and dont hold as much value as love itself but a simple thanks for raising me doesnt do as much justification imo. RESPECT

  • omg im only 15 and i would love to get a car like that for my 16th birthday!! LOL guys are soo nice

  • I wish i had a dad :^(

  • i wanna be your daddy! jajajajajaja

  • i wanna be your daddy! jajajajajaja

  • 1 dislike is a ford guy.

  • Wow he's one lucky Dad good for him!! So what does it have in it?

  • i would cry in tears of happiness if someone gave me that

  • holy fuckin barnacles he starts cryin she starts cryin i start cryin i just wanted to see a nice car not feel bad :((( its good that you guys are together and strong :) nice car lol why dont you just replace the belt itll stop squeeling? the tighter it is the more it squeels, too.

  • It's so great you did that for your father. I wish I could do that one day, but that won't be on this planet.. Lost my dad over 1 year ago. I hope you realise how lucky you are that you can still do this for your father.

I would give everything I have just to be able to do this for my dad here and now.

  • @Moonen100 Lost mine when i was 10. He missed me growing up through my most important years. Now im fresh out of high school and about to turn 18 next month. Trying go into the United States Marine Corps now. I know he's watching, so everything I do is worth while. I would give anything to do this for him. But I never got to talk cars with him.

  • @Moonen100 This brought me too tears for the same reason
