I hate how people think pikachu is cheap because of everyone using b down. I genurally use c down to rack dammage, and eather side c or b down to knock them out. Pikachu is fast, agile and has a great b up for recovery.

Excellent! Then this should mean that you win often. I'm a Pikachu player. Spamming any of Pikachu's moves is a sure way to lose. It's not like Metaknight's tornado where it takes skill to avoid. With Pikachu's thunder, all you do is wait for him to say "Piika", and you roll away. Then you hit him with a long range attack when the lightning begins to subside (such as a tether grab, or a sword hit). The only character that should have trouble is Jiggles (range).

@ninjaguyYT on the contrary, when im pissed at my friends i choose pikachu, and spamming the down smash with thunder is an easy way to win, i down smash them, they fly off the stage, then thunder prevents them from getting back on the stage considering the only way to get back on the stage in final destination is to go over pikachus head (if im standing on the edge)

Seriously, pikachu is such an overpowered character it can easily kill a ton of characters under a damage of 92. The thunder attack goes all the way across the floor and it does so much damage it's insane. Not only is it harder to knock down and quicker than most characters but its shock attacks are overpowered and the spam shocks are so dumb. Try fighting 3 level 9 pikachus in the final destination stage see if you can beat it. You just can't. In Melee though everything is more balanced.

good players can get around pikachu... and yes, the auto kills in melee from preset combos take soo much skill and balances the game perfectly (sarcasm)... you sir are clearly just not good at the game and felt like raging about how 'overpowered' pikachu is... and who fights 3 computers to determine if a character is overpowered? lol

That's why PIKACHU is awesome. PIKACHU has a technique which you must learn to dodge. He just has apart moves, mostly unexpected when he's using his Quick Attack against the ground. XD

Looks pretty nice. I dropped playing Pikachu a long time ago. Didn't have too much success. Though I started Pokemon Trainer after that and found a lot of happiness. :) After looking at this video, I think I will try some of these things with Pikachu and bring Pika out again. quick attack cancel. its when you hit the ground with your quick attack which gives you a spit second time to do any move since ur in the air. fair, dair, thunder, or even jump again. its really helpful in matches

actually i dont think you can use any aerial attacks except for Dair, and even then it's only the landing part of the attack that actually happens. but u can always do specials or jump out of it and do aerials.

That is not lame. That is incredible! I'm sure to use the QAC thunder, aerial and jolt more. Obviously I'm not going to spam thunder and jolt more but use the QAC for fooling the opponent. The circle dashing was especially a useful technique for me

Do you know what i just realised,the most annoying thing about spamachu isn't the theunder jolts or the repetitive thunders or even the quick attacks. It has to be the constant irritating sound of pikachu's voice when he's doing his attacks hearing "Pikachu, Pikachu, Pi, Pika" during the whole match would screw up anyones game :)

um...dude i not saying im the pest pikachu player out there but....i grew up with pikachu in melee and reg bros. i used him and i figured out all these techniques by myself...do you now that if you use pika's recovery mover quick attack on the ground going back and forth like wevile it has the same effect of mario's cape...it turns the opponet and also it hurts...but it won't reflect anything but then again thunder jolt will destroy and projectile

I'm dabating whether or not to change the C stick to do specials. If I do, then it will be easier for the QAC. But that also means that my areal game will be killed, especially my uair game. I use the c stick to avoid using my second jump as well as getting better DI with the control stick on all my arels. What do you think? Do you use the b-stick thing, or use up-B to QAC?

I don't see how Anther is the best Pikachu.

Anther knows when to do what, and is very advanced in his own set of techniques. I want to make a video of Anther's pikachu style, because it is just amazing.
