I've had a Kreg Jig for decades. It's not early as fancy as that one, I don't even understand what I just saw, but I've built everything from shelves to every kind of frame you can imagine. The strength of the connection is amazing. No, I don't work or am in any way affiliated with Kreg as other than a satisfied customer.

I bought the smaller Kreg kit. it doesnt come with it's own clamp but it works just the same. i didnt think that it would be a big deal to have to clamp the jig to the wood each time with a c clamp. i was more concerned with saving the $60. BUT now that i have used it on several projects and it does work so well and on things like this were there are so many pocket holes to be drilled it would be a big time saver to go ahead and buy the whole kit... now instead of saving $60 im out $40... damn!

Steve, if you want a way to super-tune your kreg jig have a look at my video's. You wouldnt believe how much faster it makes those jig. Just a simple lever that enables you to open and close the clamp with your foot. Then big pannels are no problem with the handle out back like it is. Hope you check it out. I'd just like to mention that the Kreg Jig cost $00. But you can get a Master Kreg Jig for $150 or much simpler jigs for as little as $22.

The project featured here can be done with even the simplest of jigs. Heck you can even make kitchen cabinets with the simplest jig. It will just take you longer to set everything up...
