Can you provide any examples of "points that he knows are just not the case", or are you just going to continue saying saying he's wrong? If he's misrepresenting the LDS faith, please provide an example rather than continuing to make blind accusations.

Also, if telling Mormons they are wrong or in error means they are being bashed then Christians are likewise being bashed when Mormons go to their doors and tell them that the 1st vision states that all the Christian creeds are an abomination and their creeds corrupt etc.

On the surface, Mormons give the impression that they are like any other Christian denomination but, when one peels back the outer wrapping, it is soon seen that they are actually so far removed from Christianity that it actually has more in common with occultism. Their Jesus (for example) is the product of sexual union between God and Mary, He 'became' a god, brother of Lucifer, etc.

So far as I've seen, there has been not enough physical evident that a "real" Jesus ever existed, there are far to many stories throughout history that parallel the story of the Christian Jesus that were actually written before the time that you consider to be the time of this "real" one. @lickhunt Those are the apocryphal gospels, They were written long after the 4 gospels. People will probably tell you otherwise but the fact is the ones that are written about Jesus in paticular contain pagan teaching that didnt come about till the 2nd century. The earliest one is the Gospel of Judas, it was probly written about 180 a.d.

It seems to me the chief reason why Mormons are wrong is from the established teachings and continual succession of Bishops down the ages from the apostles to the current day. which puts a huge hole in this idea of the church falling into a great apostasy right after John, (as if the apostles were so incompetent so as to select the worst possible students whom they made Bishops and priests).

Shaz you are mistaken, there is an authority which is priestly. If we look at the early church we see there is an authority on the apostles, and not on the common layman, would we dissagree with the apostles in their own days? Yes there is an authority in the layman, but this is not an authority of that of the apostles. The mormons are wrong, but so are evangelicals on this matter.

@TheIconodule But very clearly shaz the early church had a concept of Authority, even in the New testament, we see pual speaking of an authority passed down through the laying down of hands into Timothy which I dont think we could assume to be for all laymen (as this was not something ever described of in the conversion and baptisms of those who entered the church) and the very next generation of Christians seem to say this as well. Saint Ignatius and Iraneaus specifically.

@TheIconodule We are the deciples of Jesus. When Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to His followers, this was not restricted to just the 12. We as Christians have the Holy Spirit. It is not through man's power but through God that people are saved, healed etc.

I went to the desciples first, and then the next generation. not everyone is given the same role. Look at Paul's letter to timothy he explisitely mentions the laying down of hands as being a manner in which authority is given.

@TheIconodule The way you are talking about it it's like the Spirit transfers through tactile contact. It doesn't. The Holy Spirit is God. He doesn't need humans to exist never mind move about. Also we have no authority. God has the authority. God doesn't place certain people on a pedistole giving them "special powers" as we are powerless. As soon as the focus starts being on people rather than the Lord...then we have to worry.

You may ignore the fact that the apostles had authority over the layman, and that the very next generation of Christians (St Iraneaus and St Ignatius as references) considered themselves to ave this same authority, but that doesn't change the truth of the matter. Now in saying we have no authority. Ultimately you are contradicting the bible in which Saint Paul says this (which you havent bothered to look up.)
