With all do respect to Manny Pacquiao, Cotto was very weak from the weight loss. Cotto made a bad mistake by accepting the fight at a catch-weight. Bob Arum and the Pac -Team approached Cotto for a rematch at catch-weight and Cotto intelligently said no. He said the fight has to be made at 154 pounds or no fight. The Pac-Team very intelligently said no. They know that Cotto at his natural weight is a force to be reckoned with. Pac isn't that confident that he can beat Cotto at 154.
If Cotto had thrown double and triple jabs, he would have easily beaten Manny. He didn't have to land all of them but it would have kept Manny off balance. This was a great fight for Pacquiao. He fought Cotto EXACTLY the way he needed to. Cotto is a very textbook, wide open stance fighter, and as such the punches he can handle the most easily are shots up the middle or sweeping over the top.
Manny did neither. He used ridiculous angles to land on Cotto where Cotto would NEVER have seen them coming.
If Cotto would have boxed Pacman the whole fight, it would have been very close. Cotto is a very skilled, technical Boxer. A Future Hall of Famer in my eyes.

@turkyish, marquez has a different counter punching style than floyd, marquez counters by going in with combinations, while floyd stays on the outside throwing one jab at a time and the occasional right power punch then ducks, there is a big difference remember that, you lot are so stupid, marquez has given pac trouble since 2004, why is it now in 2012 that you are basing the outcome of floyd v pac bcuz of marquez, i mean like i said, pac has never been completely dominated. Marquez by the way, has his most success when he fights off the back foot, and allows Manny to come forward, because Manny gets anxious and throws himself badly off balance. They is nothing JMM does better than Floyd. But yeah, JMM throws combo counters, often enough. But JMM Vs. MP has NOTHING TO DO with FM Vs. MP, lol. And that's a good thing.

@mstyle028, im not sure man, its hard to tell, i think mayweather wins on points as he will not go into pac, he will make pac keep running after him and floyd will move clockwise (to avoid pacs left power punch) and keep throwing pick shot jabs one at a time and the occasional right power punch and duck, but if floyd just goes into pac and brawls it out then pacquiao will destroy floyd, as a skilled boxer mayweather is the best, but pacquiao is the greater boxer "fighter" warrior.

This was a great fight for Pacquiao. He fought Cotto EXACTLY the way he needed to. Cotto is a very textbook, wide open stance fighter, and as such the punches he can handle the most easily are shots up the middle or sweeping over the top.
Manny did neither. He used ridiculous angles to land on Cotto where Cotto would NEVER have seen them coming.
