get ready the y2k depression brought to you by the same paty that brought you the war n bush ha ha everyone that voted for bush are buying are in the super markets buying all the spam n soap
Sure, but FDR took the "Gold Backs" he called them all in and closed the banks and put us on the silver backed dollars. Now we are backed by China and the Federal Reserve's plastic........the dollar is really just paper now.
yup that is true we blame the government but it is also our faults that these depressions happen !! we buy and buy and buy what we cant afford all i hope is that people wake up before all this stuff hits the fan
Good choice of photos here. I wouldn't have thought that modern music would go well with the period of the photos, but it brings out some of the harshness of the time. It adds to the impact of scenes from the Great Depression. I think your Uncle Dave would have been touched by this.
Ah, don't worry about that right now. The bubble has popped and we shall see a lowering in price. Also with India and other Asian nations no longer subsidizing oil expect a quite a bit of demand destruction. I would say at very best 90$ a barrels. Of course Iran is no longer trading oil in $ witch will put the US in Recession for sure. Price increases should double every five years, not every year. So just use this as a training exercise, you have about 3-10 years before shit gets out of control
i know, i thought the same when it started and i dont really mind the band playing... but as it began washing over me the harshness of the scenes began to mesh with the searching lyrics..
almost blues in it's effect... very stark, and like banjo naps said ... it's just like the 20's/30's right now...
horrible video. yeah the images are cool but the affect of the images is completely taken away by the bad editing choice of making some of them shaky like it's a bad 1930s film. i couldn't hear the music, but if it was linkin park...what were you thinking. there are many better choices to express what was happening in the rural south and north at the time. Nice attempt, but your trying to be way too artsy about a subject that is neither glamorous, beautiful.
The past is going to haunt us. The world is going towards a depression. War, school shootings, growth in homelessness, cost of living, global warming!!! Just to list a few of whats messed up with this world. I was once a happy go lucky person, trying to find that person now.
i just want to say god forbid we ever have a depression like the one in the 1930's people were kinder then and helped each other out . i wonder what would happen if we had one today!!! GOD FORBID!!!!

Honestly, it was kinda scary. Going by what I've heard, where I live, since it rains a lot, it looked like a sad movie.
But yeah, that would be reeeally scary.
