  • best part of Elizabeth trilogy!!!

  • walled in her room until her death. irony, the castle that became the tomb of so manny, was to be her own. truly wicked evil woman Bathory, by ancestral marriged related To Vlad tepes Dracula

  • @Heelcreek yep, she was the bases of the vamp female myths, and he was the base of the male ones. I don't know why people romanticize the idea of vampires, they were deranged serial killers.

  • @TearisShatteredMoon I disagree with that. Vampires cannot be called deranged serial killers. To be a killer one have to be human after all. For it is only in the human mind that killing another human is murder. No A vampire is anything but a murderer. They were created to be Man's only natural enemy.Just like Lions and Wolves and hyena's are other animals Natural Enemies. It doesn't make them evil or deranged serial killers for doing what their nature tells them to. Blood is their only food.

  • @Reithandina You are taking the mythological point, I was actually talking about the real people they based the myths on, and vlad and bathory were serial killers.

  • @Reithandina: Vampires are also fictional creatures.

Sometimes they are presented as deranged serial killers.

What they "can" or "cannot" be is up to the writer.

  • @CallingCrowe Well That is true, of course, but Still. I even if a writer says it as this, I cannot think about creature, that isn't human - even if it's fictional - as a murderer when they kill to survive. If so, we should be murderers as well. But I do understand the meaning of Vampires, but it doesn't mean that I'll have to like it, and if they were real, I'd know the danger they would present to us humans, but I'd not be angry at them, or present them with that image. It's nature afterall.

  • @Reithandina: A common characteristic of the Vampire myth in fiction is the choice whether or not to kill to survive.

It's a psychological game, in a sense: I do not have to kill to survive, but it is in my nature. Do I still do it?

It's the vegetarian argument, but with human life as well.

    Is it necessary?

I think the fact that there is no clear answer is what keeps the myth alive, and constantly resurfacing.

I think it was best done by World of Darkness, personally.

  • @CallingCrowe Have you played Vampire:The masquerade-redemption? It is based on world of darkness, you have to try it.Also legacy of kain deals with vampires albeit in a different way :P Raziel(after his rebirth) views vampires as monsters while kain considers them gods whose job it is to thin the herd(whereas he wanted to get rid of vampirism as soon as he became a vampire :P )

  • @666Kaca: I've seen the game, haven't played it. Been playing Bloodlines again recently, it's also set in WoD.

I've played the Legacy of Kain games, they were alright. I didn't like the way they presented vampirism, though. Seemed too Conan-era comic bookish.

  • @CallingCrowe the soul reaver yes because at end of blood omen:legacy of kain kain chooses to corrupt the world instead of sacrificing himself. In soul reaver 2 and legacy of kain:defiance you travel back through time and see the world before it was corrupted. And bloodlines is worse than redemption imo

  • @666Kaca: Yeah, see, I don't even care about it. That's how unimpressive the Legacy of Kain was to me. But you go ahead and enjoy it.

Bloodlines had more freedom, even if it took larger steps from canon and absolutely ruined disciplines. I prefer that. I also have a cutoff point with older graphics, and Redemption is far behind it.

I don't mind. It's a video game, it can never really be done perfectly.

  • The Live version of this song is much better than studio.. check it out

  • I was so obsessed with Khan's range and Youngblood's skill on these, I showed them to some of my dorm roomies. They think I'm a nut now, but oh well. Kamelot kicks their wimpy music collections any day!

  • Essential for all sinister souls out there... Should do a DII Tower run w/ this song playing...

  • @sovest555 ...And so it came to pass that the Countess, who once bathed in the rejuvenating blood of a hundred virgins, was buried alive... And her castle in which so many cruel deeds took place fell rapidly into ruin. Rising over the buried dungeons in that god-forsaken wilderness, a solitary tower, like some monument to Evil, is all that remains.

  • @sovest555 The Countess' fortune was believed to be divided among the clergy, although some say that more remains unfound, still buried alongside the rotting skulls that bear mute witness to the inhumanity of the human creature.

  • i have a glass of red punch in my hands and i dont feel like drinking it anymore. :P

  • The booklet says it's "What if there's a God in Hell and Heaven? Fire is the torment I must face. Dyin by the souls I have forsaken. No one's gonna catch my fall from grace."

I think it sounds better with guided but I didn't write the song ;)

  • @UmbraDeus "Dying FOR the souls I have forsaken". It's in the booklet.

  • @UmbraDeus I hear it the way you wrote it out... clear as day. lol

  • Favorited all 3 parts!

  • I think that the line really goes "Guided by the souls I have forsaken".

    Still great songs.

  • @Zephemus The booklet says "Dying by the souls I have forsaken"
