  • Apart from a better sound, there is an increase in mid range power after rejetting with the included jet kit (use the biggest jet in the kit). The muffler is quite a bit lighter because its smaller and made of aluminum. Seems like mpgs are the same or slightly less; 40+. The only other thing to say is that it looks better than factory.

  • What does this pipe do apart from the noise? Heard about better mpg? What about weight? Looks quite heavier than stock.

  • Just under 60 MPG? Wow. Ive been consistently running around 45 MPGs for as long as ive owned the bike.

  • I have the same kit from KLR650.com. With the pipe, jet kit and air filter I see just a hair under 60 miles per gallon on two lane highways. The Avon Gripster tires and 1 tooth bigger sprocket on the front seems to help a little to.

  • Grate sound!!!!

  • This was just what i was looking for a great comparison showing the diff between stock and jardine

  • Thanks for the compliment. The old KLRs run really rich, apparently, so a re-jet is not necessary. As far as an increase in power, i dont think i noticed any. I think i just ride it harder and faster now cause is sounds great! I got the kit from klr650.com. The kit included: K&N air filter, jet kit, and jardine rt-99 exhaust for about $450. I put the filter and pipe on and will likely do the jet next season. Supposedly i will notice a power increase(and fuel loss) after the jet install.

  • Finally a great comparison video... Thank you!!!! Do you have to re-jet carb?? Did it give you any more usable power???

  • That sounds KLR
