@wordprophet I would say guitar is an accessory in my life, and Jesus a necessity. I wish I could compose music at this level, because there is not enough of it.
Sorry Lorenz, I arranged this, and have not transcribed it. I was not following a strict arrangement, but winging it at certain parts. It always comes out differently.
O.K.I was reminded of this video when we sang "A Mighty Fortress" in our Bible study group on a Saturday evening during our Bible study.Immediately after the study, I played this video to my friends. They said that it was simply superb and now they cannot forget your name Rob.Hats Off to you.The arrangement of the Harmony, change in meter, different harmony at the end is all really amazing.-Lorenz
This is my favorite hymn, due to the fact that it stresses the endurance and sureness of the Word of God above all reason or philosophy. There is none better.
I think the Swingle Singers version is my favorite. They sing it straight, or straight for Bach, instead of swinging it, but it sounds beautiful. I like the old French group from the 60s, but the newer folks are German. I don't like their remakes of Ward Swingle's arrangements as much as the originals, but the way they sing this has made it one of my favorite recordings of all time. They sing the straight chorales better than anyone. I love their version of Es ist genug as well. They know Bach.
Do you sell a book of your arrangements?

can you please do a version of je crois entendre encore? It's an opera. I always wanted to hear it on guitar.

Beautiful tune. Bizet was a great melodic composer, and it would go well with guitar.
I have a lot to do before I would get time.

My pleasure. You might be interested to know that my wife and I used this song at our wedding, an a capella version by the Swingle Singers.
I've started checking out some of your other YouTube videos. Nice work.
