  • nice and quiet...

  • use an a77. arguably the fastest AF system in a DSLR/DSLT in the world

  • minolta 70-210 on a a55 here. that was cheap and it really focus fast.

imo, avoid sony glasses, they're overpriced and not worth it.

  • it is not the lens problem ,

    see my video.

    /watch?v=YmSkWTpdE6M

a550 got the similar speed as the a900

a55 is much more faster, or even the latest a77 :p

    @josechaguaceda

  • That's not how you test speed. With the cap on, all lenses are slow. Take off the cap and focus on shit, you idiot. You must be one of those idiots who always forget to take the front cap off. Lol

  • @YIMMA996TT The lens cap is off. Lol. Next time watch a video before you comment on it. Though judging by your channel and all the people calling you a troll, that's expected.

  • Hi, What did you buy this lens for?

  • FWIW, Under certain conditions the Canon and Nikon lenses usually DO slow down when the scene gets darker....It just depends..

I do agree however, this is pretty bloody slow, especially for a 70-200 f/2.8 which many people will grab for say sports...

  • just a question: why are you going to use this super zoom lens this indoors? i guess it is really meant for outdoors

  • @onzkicg Hi

a 70-200 is not a good lens for outdoor shooting with a 35mm frame. For outdoor sports and wildlife you need a 300mm or longer. a 70-200 is good for indoor sports and portraits.

    Thanks.

  • @ckingphoto 70-200 is just a lens. It's fine for indoor or outdoor shooting. Your subject determines the appropriate focal length. Children's sports, skateboarding, hot air balloonfests, rodeos, etc. -- all require a 70-200, not something longer.

  • I guess that something is wrong with your lens.

This lens is fast and focus direct in one movement on to focus.

I have my 70-200G with a A55, the speed is twice that fast. With the ultra Quick AF of the A55 makes it great fun to work with the outstanding, impeccable lens and the innovative and brilliant A55.

  • @josechaguaceda

hey, first you say that is lens has a problem, and you finish saying this is A900's fault...

    So what you think?

  • @hardmaverick12R

Hello. I can`t read in my reaction that i mentioned that you A900 has a Problem!?

The only thing i mend is, that i and many others, don`t experience that sort of your poblem with this great lens.

When you have read forums, test, reviews, etc about the SonyA55 you wil know that theA55 has extremly fast (The fastest around!) focus. I`m very pleased with the Body and (quick ;o) terrific lens. Great fotos!!

    Greetings José Chaguaceda (Zwitserland)

  • Faster than an a900?

  • yes

  • @chriskingottawa i have both the a900 and the a55. yup the a55 is faster haha

  • try a55

    it is much more faster
