  • It was murrrrrrrduhhhh!

  • Gosh tv ain't what it used to be anymore.... :.(

  • the music to this show or theme is to get your attention to what the show really means and not represent. (sysq'o)

  • OMG! I forgot about this show!!!!!!!!!

  • @Marmiteums Agreed...I can't recall how many episodes dealt with alcoholism and yet Quincy, Speed & the rest of the guys would close the show at the cocktail bar surrounded by drinks galore.

  • I would have ended Murder She Wrote with Quincy doing a cameo where he proves that Jessica Fletcher murdered all those dinner guests.

  • @revlaz I liked the way he made the cops faint. For its day, this show was even more impressive than CSI is now. I'm surprised CSI hasn't referenced him or had him do a cameo.

He also used his microscope to analyze his favorite meat sauce recipe.

  • one glorious summer they were showing reruns of quincy everyday 7weeks of epicness

  • It's interesting how the Quincy theme sounded like a Dixie Land tune song from New Orleans kind of like "When The Saints Go Marching In" song.

  • this show is FTW

  • Between the cops fainting and the blonde whose leg he's fondling, what's not to like in an opening theme?

  • My favorite was the one where the death appears to be natural causes, Quincy finds an irregularity, his boss threatens to fire him, the department's reputation is on the line, he enlissts Sam's help in breaking department rules, solves the crime at the last minute, and saves his job.

  • @BettorOffSingle Lucky you, eh? Your favourite one was on just about every week...

  • @Slammerworm1 Lucky is right1 Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. sharp! Old-school CSI!

  • Her name was Abigail, she needed assa bifida for her flat ass! linger longer

  • Just as good as Quincy on television would have been a Quincy video game.

I mocked up an opening sequence of what Quincy could have looked like on the Commodore 64, the biggest computer of the Quincy era. Paste this title into the bar:

    QUINCY 64!

  • quincy is the man

  • you meant *JIMCY is the man

    your mistake

now where the hell is my members only jacket?

  • @eatmorelsd I had a Members Only jacket but was never told what it made me a member of. Those things were cool but if the temperature dropped below 30 you were fucked.

  • Robert Ito who played Sam Fujiyama is a very handsome man!

  • love it and now we have CSI, etc. and Jason Lives ( if you wanna really see a dead guy.....)

  • The best show ever!

  • I feel bad for the people who don't get your post. Muuuuuuurda.

  • Sam has tiny genitals...lol

  • As a kid, I thought this show was so cool!

I mean where else could a grumpy old guy piss off his superiors, get the girl, make a self righteous social statement , AND connect a paper cut with a year old murder case......all in the span of 60 minutes!!

"That was no accident....it was MUUURRDERR!!! "

  • @seljuk1969 Don't forget the obligatory closing scene at the restaurant, replete with a rcaetrack story. With Speed as a cop!

  • @BettorOffSingle Ha-ha-ha...indeed, forgot about Speed, surprised Murray never appeared on that show! I found it funny that Quincy never thought twice about hanging out at that sleazy restaurant with his pals.....but god forbid if you hung out at the local punk rock club!

  • I smell a conspiracy. There was a shortfall of forensic scientists who did autopsies. So the medical folks had a brainwave: make a TV show where a medic gets the bones and the boner. Boing. Boing. And he has a boat - only the best for his rooting around when the formaldehyde has gone for the day. Let's call the guy Quincy.

  • every morning at 9 on omni 1 haha. this is the worst version of the theme in my view.

  • This shows is still on inlondon ont. canada. I am watching it right know. Wanted to know what it was.

  • Support! Quincy Birris Volume 2

  • that's right quincy, talk with your mama mia fingers and fuck cardboard ass.

  • As if the fact that he was at the top of his profession and no doubt quite well off wasn't enough he also lived on a bloody boat. What woman could resist that.

  • Living on a boat is like being a firefighter and muscular all inone. Woman cant resist!

  • I like quincy

  • Oh my... I can hardly remember that Quincy was one of my dad´s favourites, also with Columbo, Statsky and Hutch, and Hawaii 5 0...! Quincy was broadcasted at 9 pm and it was very late for me (also its thematic was very "hard" for a little girl), so mom used to take me to bed, but I standed up and stayed hidden between curtains just to see the program. At least I was discovered...! what kind of memories...!

  • Quincy was one of my favorite shows growing up and still is now. Wish it was available to watch on line.

  • It's still on ITV3 every day (or was for about 8 years).

  • But what a flat cardboard ass she has. Saaaaaaaaaaam.

  • FFRRRRRRRRRRRRRUNKISSSSSSS

  • ORTibobs..Back in the day when Quincy aired...flat asses where the thing ..I know for fact ! lol

  • I love this show!

  • I remember Quincy being repeated every day after lunchtime Neighbours when I was at Uni. No wonder I took siestas...

  • ahah yeah me to

  • I STILL watch this i watched it earlier today on itv3 i never miss it

  • I loved this show back in the day.. Good times...

  • Always loved Quincy, but the Mad magazine spoof called "Queasy" was hilarious!

  • Like Columbo,he doesn't seem to have a first name?????

  • Good point! although I think it might be doctor,Im sure also columbo's first name is lieutenant.

  • you gotta love quincy the randy old sod, he can pull a woman half his age just by showing her his equpiment!

  • This Quincy theme sounds a lot like Dixieland land type music from New Orleans or something kind of like the song "When The Saints Go Marching In" for instance.

  • Come on kid, give it a second chance!

  • im mad

nom nom nom!!!!! hehekekeke I feel like cybring! Ms

  • Hot diggity dog at 0:48. That's how I wanna roll at 70 years of age, KLUGMAN STYLE!

  • i loved quincy!! he was like so old and i was 13 and watching reruns but who cared? precursor to csi...:)

  • Haha, you think he's examining a dead body at the end, but it's really a hot babe!

  • jimcy always get the lady in the end. waka, waka

  • I prefer Jimcy.

  • Where can I find the Quincy episode: Seldom Silent, Never Heard? Its about the kid with Tourettes Syndrome.

  • Where's Jimcy?

  • This was no accident. It was murder. (Yells at beaurocrats)

  • I adore Quincy.

I'm only fifteen, but when I was like ten I would watch the re-runs all the time.<3

    I loved this show. hehe.

Pretty odd for a ten year old huh? haha.

Miss the show. They should continue the re-runs again.

  • Well, you're Puerto Rucan.

  • ...I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with anything?

  • I use to stay up late and watch Quincy and Colombo what I was about 10 too.

  • @0SimplyUnperfect0 Not at all. I was ten when I began watching it. In 1977!

  • lol a love to get high n watch quincy

  • What was Quincy's first name?

    What was Columbo's first name?

What does the T stand for in Robert T Ironside?

In The Prisoner what was the name of Number 6?????

  • hell if i know, and i was everyepisode of all the shows u mentioned, you'd think i'd know ?

  • "Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself".

  • "It wasn't an accident, Sam, because it was MURDER!!"

  • if people dont get this...most probably they were not born yet when this show was being show on tv. yeah the original csi hehehe

  • Does anyone have a copy of the intro from the later seasons?

  • This and Emergency were my two favorite series shows growing up. I love Quincy and for many childhood years wanted to become an M.E.

This was the original CSI. Due to watching these shows I became a volunteer EMT, CPR instructor and ARC Disaster Team member. Those were the days!!

  • Ok. This is wierd. It goes from a Q to an O. And then police start falling like dead birds. Then a bunch of random scenes in 3 O's. Then goes back to a Q. Then it ends...in a rather uncomfortable abrupt way.

  • Really? you don't get this? The police start dropping because Quincy unveils a dead body that's been prepared for autopsy. then, in typicaly 70's fashion, you get random scenes in the circles. Then, since Quincy's an ME, you see him pinching arm flesh, and they assume you'll think it's the arm of a cadavor. But it's just some hot chick on his boat. All in all, a great 70's intro.

  • Quincy, M.E.

With the power to make the toughest cops fall to the floor.

The Gregory House of his time.

  • @palmercomm excellant comparison. he was house before house actually

  • Wow. Maybe the show was ok but this intro sucked.

  • simmons

  • whats simmons's screenname on here?

  • worshipper

  • En colombia lo transmitio Granandina de Televisión (1982)

  • Long before CSI and Law & Order there was Quincy. Adamant in the face of injustice, hypocrisy and deceit - fighting incompetence and inefficiency all around, solving cases single-handed with his piercing insight and powers of deduction - only pausing to bark at the top of his lungs into the face of some poor moron while the so-called Police walked repeatedly in circles or stood around slack-jawed and drooling. And for well-deserved recreation? Regularly porking girls a third his age. Terrific.

  • I don't touch em sammm, I just take the pictures.... i like my women flat enough to slide under a door sammmmmm... sammmmmmm, why can't we understand that this was the work of Lonnie Hazard!!!!!

  • she was mmmuuurrrdderrreed, sam!

  • It was lonnie hazard sammmmmmmm

  • If anyone has a clip of Quincy's wedding where his bride sings her vows to him PLEASE post it!! It is so cheesy and nauseating that it is a classic piece of TV. How Jack Klugman did not laugh or puke I do not know!

  • He certainly is alive, he turns 86 this year. And he just recently married again.

  • Get my Members Only jacket Saaam.

I'm off to see about a flat ass girl.

Her ass is GONE Saaam...I think it was Muurder.

  • Sam, you've got the genitals of an infant!

  • @RobeSoupAndTears No! It wasn't murder! It was because the ORPHAN DRUG was not approved by the evil FDA, who quincy spends the last 20 minutes of the episode trashing in yet another weekly crusade.

  • Its was *Murder*

  • I like that bit when the rookie cops faint. Puts CSI to shame.

  • a great and underrated TV theme song. The little ragtime part is great

  • Was that RAMOOOOONE in the opening?

  • Great show.... Long live Jack Klugman, TV legend! Quincy M.E. is one of the best shows I have ever seen!

  • I LOVE Quincy!

    He is so funny!

    well "was". :(

    Rest in peace Jack!

  • He's still alive!

  • he sure is.

  • I seen it on tv back in the 90's. Thats about all i remember. I just saw jack clugman on a tv commercial the other day.

  • I used to love Quincy and Columbo! Used to watch them all the time! This theme tune brings back memories!

  • A very interesting show.

  • i love this :)

  • I can't get hard unless I'm watching Quincy.

It makes for an awkward situation when hooking up with a new chick for the first time but they eventually get into it...especially when I whip out the bone-saw!

  • Quincy, the original CSI! It was a great show!!

  • i love Quincy, i used to watch it all the time!! and i love the opening theme :D

  • i love u sexy

  • jack at his best. I would of loved to see him and columbo team up on a case

  • That was a great television show and a great opener. I have seasons 1-3 on DVD sets from last christmas. I remember watching Jack Klugman, and thought he became a great actor as Quincy. My favorite character was his sidekick named Sam Fujiyama played by Robert Ito.,and let me tell ya, this guy was very cute!

  • I totally dug Robert Ito! Gorgegous Man!

  • I remember that show!

  • I read somewhere that Jack Klugman always gotten heat by the producers, b/c they thought he was very demeaning towards them.

  • This was an early opening title sequence for this long-running series (1976-1983), possibly season 2.

  • And this opening were mainly used in the German Quincy series on RTL. In Germany there were three different voice actors who dubbed Quincy. In the ARD (public TV channel) series Quincy has as the same voice as Bud Spencer. :)

  • Love this!!!!

  • The Quinc-meister is a legend! great series-great post.

  • i loved this show why dont they show this show anymore i remember it as a child ,Quincy used too be pimpin with his old butt!he was so cool

  • Don't know where you live, but up here in Canada we still get it. I watch it whenever I happen to catch it.

  • Always forget Glen A. Larson did this.

  • Larson co-created this TV series with Lou Shaw. BTW, A&E reran the whole series a decade ago.

  • I want to watch the episodes again! know any good sites where you can download them?

  • Quincy was a childhood hero, not afraid to take on the powers that be when something was out of whack. Somehow, I never saw the pilot as a very young kid had no real idea of why the cops passed out. Knowing what it is now, I probably would too. Sam Fujiama also saved the day and Quincy's bacon a few times too. I also loved how Astin played the bureaucrat but when it came down, he would back Quincy up. Great show and great cast.

  • Hahahaha, I've always loved the part where all the cops pass out. Thanks for posting this!

  • The second version of Quincy was more streamlined than this one, and without the corny jazz piece thrown in near the end.

  • I know the lady that the doctor runs his hands over at the end of the intro.

  • I love that part!! Especially when the music gets all jaunty.

  • the original csi
