  • I would love to go to Scotland and leap off a cliff into the ocean surf far below on a warm, gusty and cloudy full moon-lit Halloween night, just as the moon's rays break through the blackness for a few moments ... setting my (tattered) spirit free!!

  • ...this is some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen, it is so rich in its history as it seems to be breath taking, Edinburgh seems so beautiful. I'm an American but always thought of Scotland to be one of the most fascinating places in the world.

  • I want to move to scotland after watching braveheart

  • @rabblue Yes. I was covering the main cities in scotland and to get a link between them , covered the countryside between them as the viewer is taken from one to the other. Inverness, aberdeen, dundee, edinburgh all involve the east coast cos thats where they are (well, not inverness but the land between there and aberdeen). THEN i went otver to glasgow for the last bit.................I didnt want to do inverness,,,glasgow,,,aberdeen,,,oban,,,,dundee,,,ayr. Glad u liked it though.

  • I'am from sweden and this looks so incredible amazing.. I've alwayse loved scotland and will alwayse do.

  • Ah, but Sverige is very cool as well!

  • The clips from 3:11 through 3:17 are like something out of a fairy tale for me, I didn't realize places like that actually exsisted!! I am from America and have never been to any other country, but this makes me want to move to Scotland!!! Preferably I could live in the house at 3:44 in the video, the one at 6:49 would work too ; ) Love the video

  • excellent that you like my video. took ages to put together, Scotland is a country of MANY contrasts. Whereas you are from the usa with its vast difference i mileage from attraction to attraction, Scotland has it all from castles, scenery, world class cities like Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness all within a comfortable 4 hrs or EVERYTHING!! Scotland Rocks, bugt half the populace dinnae realise it. !

  • 3:44 is Glamis Castle, Angus. The Queen mother used to live there. It is very nice, but rather remote from civilisation, but then again a lot of Scotland feels that way. It's a great place!

  • Glamis is about 7 miles from the county town of Forfar, about 17 miles from the city of Dundee and 25 miles or so from Perth...not exactly a great distance from civilisation!!

  • A really nice video gent ;)

    Regards from Catalonia :)

  • In 7 Wochen bin ich wieder in den Highlands zum Motorrad fahren!

Tolle Einstimmung auf meinen Urlaub! Thanks!!!

  • Great Pics. Love Simple Minds too. Thanks

  • Great photos :)

  • I think you have done a really good job ! the video is great ! well done , its good you have showed the city's. 100% thanks

  • so beautiful. i hope to go to Scotland for my honeymoon. my gf loves castles.

  • Thank you for showing us other photos of our beloved Scotland.

  • OMG The Edinburgh Playhouse!

I went there last week to see the new Mary Poppins show.

    Surprisingly, it was great!

  • One word - beauty

  • I really like this video. It reminds me some superb moments from my trip to UK. Thank you.

  • Dziękuję za miłe komentarze

  • Mam opravdu rad tuhle prezentaci, ta hudba i ty fotky davaji zakusit trosku z "ducha" Skotska. Je to vyjimecna zeme. Thank you

  • nice images - captions would be helpful on some though

  • I thought captions might ruin the photos, each towns clips starts with a photo of their airport/station and football grounds, I will gladly list any others if you put down the times they appeared on screen.

  • ahhh this is pretty good nice it shows the human and physical :)

  • kind of depends, there are older towns and villages where everyone knows everyone, most places have a good set of events throughout the summer time, in newer towns, less people know each other...there are places which are too large for people to know each other etc. Most of the cities have a good pub (tavern) scene, especially Edinburgh) but a lot of the customers will be tourists.

  • Someday:).

    ~Jen (Coming Undone)

  • wut about st. andrews???????????

  • Yeah, St Andrews, there are 5 images of St Andrews on the clip, running from 5.27 to 5.45, they are, in order, the castle, the harbour, the university, and two of the old course. Before St Andrews is pittenweem and the Howe of Fife. Cheers.

  • SCOTLAND IS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY!

i wanna go there. Greetings from POLAND!

  • My dad said the entire my entire family will go on Vacation threw Ireland (where me and my mother and sister have roots) and then enter Scotland. Where me, my sister and my dad have roots.

  • beautifull country Scotland!

    Greetings from Argentina,.

  • someone know if there is actualy a town in scotland that lives the old ways?

i need to go to scotland soon and i have no idea where to go.

not the city ofcourse, more of the mountains.

sick of this country here ( the netherlands)

  • By the old ways, do you mean no cars?? if so, no. most of the more isolated towns and villages have managed to avoid global brands though but most people in Scotland do have access to the same technology as the rest of Europe.

  • yer, cars etc are fine but more of the old ways.

people going to a tavern or something instead of staying home watching tv all the time..

    town events etc..

  • depends on the time of year really. Most towns have events on especially through the summer months, some places have a better community feel to them than others because of things like, the local residents all knowing each other where there is a good bond, compared with a new town where no one knows each other and there is no history. then

  • some good shots not heard this simple minds track for along time well done !

  • makes me proud to be scottish! maybe it rains a lot but weve got scenery, history and passion

  • great video.

    the place in so nice.

when i visit this place, i have to take my son to a football game which is his passion.

  • fantastic!!!!!i love it, thank u for the tour...

  • great pics living in oz. missing scotland wishing i was back in aberdeen

  • Aye? Then come back. Aberdeen's booming again..

  • good stuff wish i was back in scotland

  • I love the highland coos. I wish I could have pet one :) I recognized a lot of the shots from Inverness and Edinburgh. Oh, I want to go back to Scotland!

  • Fantastic! Now I know where to go next summer.

  • the huge problem of celtic and rangers has put me off the city part of the country, neds make me sick.

  • The Celtic/Rangers problem only really exists in Glasgow. Certainly more pronounced there than the other cities.

  • The underlying problem behind it however is just as strong throughout the nation. It's this age old thing we force our children into of Catholics vs Protestants. The times are starting to change though. Glasgow is a nice place and i don't agree with this idea that it's filled with football crazed neds. I go out there every weekend without bother.

  • Agree that the whole Glasgow thing is not accurate and that the press tends to over emphasize things but having lived and worked all over Scotland, the Catholic/Protestant issue IS much more pronounced in Glasgow,

anywhere else, no-one really seems to care. I was in a pub in Glasgow about 5 yrs ago and some bloke actually asked if I was catholic or protestant! I said I didnt know. Anyway, had many good nights out in Glasgow and counting down to AC/DC in June 09.

  • omg scotland is so beautiful. i would give anything just 2 visit.

  • i love this, music excellent too:)

  • i miss Scotland...thanks for the pics.

  • Your photos are beautiful! I'm of Scottish descent. I hope I have the chance to visit Scotland before I die so I can learn about my family history. Thanks for the tour!

  • I'm Scottish but live now in Austria.
