@troikagirl No it's built on three sections - beginning, middle and end. The beginning is a build up, middle is a climax, end is the period after the climax (anti climax to be technical, but that word has negative connotations)
@jackotheripper Listen to me you mother fucker. I will kick your fucking ass and fuck you in the urethra with my small but thick dick. You will die in my arms you filthy fucking Indian bitch
I followed both the Beatles and the Kinks over the years and yet now--after all these years--it's really the Kinks that endure and the Beatles that are 1960s. No offense meant to the Beatles, just wow for the Kinks.

Hey! Does anyone know who made/what happened to the video someone made of this song that had images of sixties decor and loads of real houses photographed in a suburb south-east of London? It was so good! Many thanks xx
I think that in many ways the kinks are in almost every way comparable to the beatles. And definitely underrated. But Even if I wish they reached beatle heights of fame I respect their songwriting above anything else, dead end street, waterloo sunset... Brilliant!
@XXstilletoXX I used to love the Beatles. Almost every tune. At some point, the songs just stopped sounding good. They got old and boring to me. But songs like this, and many other Kinks songs have only gotten better as I've gotten older.
i'm really into theKinks, this is Rays best song, anyone today should love it. also, any band today capable of this? no

Starts off great, then loses focus, because it's too long.
The standard play of 3 minutes would have been better, and would have left you wanting more.

@XXstilletoXX -- Yeah, what YOU said! Took the words right out of my mouth.
snicky58 2 years ago 2
@XXstilletoXX , agree on 'underrated', the kinks are a big part of brits musical heritage.
But maybe they were a bit too fashionable.
The Beatles /made/ fashion. As a group, they're genious.
