I called BLM in Wyoming this morning and they said that no the Blue Forest is NOT

closed to digging they assured me it was OPEN to Digging, which is great because I'm headed that way in a few weeks.

Thanks for the heads up I will give BLM a call. I was headed to Kemmer middle of June to shot a show on fossils, then back to NV Hubbard Basin for the conifer petrified wood then to Devils Gate NV for the Juniper wood and then if I have any energy left stinking Water Oregon for some of that incredible oak that's a lot of filming and digging maybe a month on the road. Very good video on a over work area - the BLM has holded all digging in this area

for most areas. Check with the BLM Office in Green River, or Kemmer, Wyoming for maps that show a few areas open for digging wood. It is not the removeal of wood, but the new dirt roads that are develope in this area with off-road driving .
