i have the exact same iron gym bar. u need to fix it to a door which is wider then the one u just fixed it in so that you can do the wide pull ups which will give u better workout. i do both wide and the close grip. Initially u can use a chair to help lift yrself up if u cant do many repititions after u get stong enough u wont need the chair
