Hey Redneck... Look up the definition of the word liberal--'open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values'... Why do conservatives or wanna-be's think its a negative superlative to describe people they don't agree with today... This 'LIBERAL' loves his Ford... you probably shop at your local Walmart for groceries... and buy 'art' at Christmas Tree Shoppe...
Now all GM needs to do is put a Lexus logo on the grill, and liberal dickhead Americans will be tripping over themselves to buy this car. Yeah, scream about how you want a strong economy and say that you care about American manufacturing, but don't dare bring yourselves to buy a really sweet American auto....
hey calm down - if we didn't buy products from other countries Germany, France, Italy, England, Japan and China would be US territories.. the whole world knows that is true. WE are still one of the best markets...
someday tough times will hit your country and you will be sorry you were such a bitch.
Don't criticize stealing my man. All the greats do it. From composers, to artists, to apparently car designers. No one ever really creates anything of value on their own. It's a compilation of everyone's best, and thereby becomes original.
wow , it's got a real nice look , not like you can see some stolen details from every side :s (BMW 5 series headlights , Mercedes front grill, bit of volvo with 6 series mixed rear)
Well, the Lexus itself looks like a BMW and Mercedes (the two most copied models lately). Accord and Camry have a lot of BMW in them as well. I think the Invicta has enough Enclave and Buickness in it. It's about as unique as the Jag XF - handsome but not stunning, and successful in the details.
A 4-cylinder car is a perfectly plausable notion: witness countless models by Audi and VW, many in the price range of this Buick. Not only that but, considering ever-stricter CAFE standards and, more importantly, rapidly escalating fuel costs, GM is if anything ahead of the game in this category in investigating achieving reasonable performance with lower displacement motors (coupled most likely to turbos / direct-injection). In any case, certainly a V6 and possibly a V8 will be options.
Being that this is a concept, no one knows what the full product line will be - a 4 and 2 sixes might do fine, especially if gas is $9 to $12/gallon during the product cycle. And in this case the concept was aimed primarily toward China where luxury cars don't demand as much power/acceleration and where Buick has a history of selling very well with small displacement motors. So it may not be that GM designers are idiots so much as you being short sighted.
When the concept was released, no information was clear about US production. Subsequently, all we know is that Bob Lutz says the Invicta concept gives a "strong hint" of the Lacrosse replacement. So this particular concept will not sell in the US; some version of it may (with or without the 4-cyl.). And whether or not I am an expert on this topic (or others) wouldn't have anything to do with me being short sighted or not. So are you so 'over' all of your misconceptions yet?
the only thing i can say is that it looks like a jaguar, enclave, and even the chrysler sebring!!! yeah its sleek but were seeing the same styling over and over again!
it doesn't matter if it's original, i was just saying what happens when I see american cars. I usually laugh because from my experience, european or japanese cars are better and people try to say that the opposite is true so I laugh out loud at american cars.
Good for you then. Thanks for telling us what happens to you. Too bad your statement has no importance other than the purely personal. I'd write more but I have to go type up an article about how I like the color red.

That's a buick?? Damn, the stereotypical 'grandma car' concept is dying down. Either way, it's domestic and I buy pure import. Interesting that it was co-developed in Japan though. I guess it's the result of GM desperately trying to get out of the red. I still feel bad for the lot of people they laid off.

Soamsey,
Do you usually dominate YouTube videos with your "nothing" opinion about everything?
I still can't believe you were dumb enough to respond to other people comments 4 X's in a row.
In case you don't get it- we've moved on.
This is old news. Set your alarm a little earlier-
Looser!
rednop44 3 years ago
rednob: You've 'moved on' from about three weeks ago? Are you sooooo over this topic? Is this sooo yesterday? What are you, a sixteen year old girl?
Soamsey 3 years ago
So-ass-msey,
You respond to several comments just to see your name in writing...
What are you- a complete looser crying for attention.
Move-on dude.
And your "soooo" comment makes you sound like the 16 Y.O. girl...

Soamsey 3 years ago
Again, no new information given-
but at least your response wasn't offensive.
My point is that no one is going to pay this kind of money for a 4-cylinder/turbo Buick.
Especially when you look at Buicks base-
V6/turbo, sure.

And there it was...
...just when I thought you were taking a hire road you ended on a negative note.
The car was introduced in China, plans are to sell it in the USA too.
Maybe what's short sighted is you thinking you're an expert on anything, let alone cars...

Q. What do you get if you take the back of a Toyota Aurion, the headlights of a BMW and add the most fucked up chrome grille you can find?
A. This crappy Buick concept.
Seriously that is one gay ass car, it's like a fake Jap car when in the 70's & 80's the Japs were making fake American cars!
It looks like it's a KIA, or Ssangyong.......something crap at least!
